Extremely Disappointed…read more I never had an issue with Prime MD, but unfortunately, since Lee Health took over, my experience has gone completely downhill. They have changed my primary care doctor multiple times because, apparently, my previous doctors were suddenly no longer in-network. I understand that insurance networks change, but what happened this time was completely unacceptable: I was dropped as a patient without being notified. I had prescriptions that were originally provided through their office, and now that one of them has expired, I'm unable to get my birth control refilled because I no longer have a PCP there. I was told I would have to pay $300-$500 out of pocket just to get a prescription refill elsewhere. When I asked why patients aren't notified when the practice stops accepting their insurance, the response I received from the person on the phone was simply, "I don't know what to tell you." That is not an acceptable way to treat patients. If you are going to stop accepting someone's insurance and remove them from your practice, patients should be properly notified and given enough time to establish care with another provider, especially when they have ongoing prescriptions. I am now left without a PCP and scrambling to get a medication refilled on time because of a change I was never informed about. Very disappointing experience with Lee Health.

I've been going to Dr. Digiorgi for quite a few years now. It wasn't until my last two appointments…read morethat I started to see a lack of interest in customer service and keeping patients happy. Last Tuesday I had my annual checkup scheduled for 11am. Shortly after 11am I was called back to get my blood pressure and weight taken. I was then placed in a second waiting area for another twenty minutes or so--thankfully there was another woman sitting there I could talk to. Eventually I was led into my room. And then I was left there. For at least another 25 minutes. I don't know about everyone else, but when someone is over an hour late for a scheduled appointment, I get irritated. And what really irked me was the fact that Dr. Digiorgi wasn't even apologetic when she came in. She simply retorted that I should always expect a gynecologist appointment to take a minimum of two to three hours out of my day. Seriously? That's absurd! She's not a cable company--unless she'd prefer to be compared to Comcast, which I will gladly do. Well excuse me, but her time is not more valuable than mine. I'm sure if I were late to my appointment, they would make me reschedule. Whatever happened to doctors being respectful of other people's time? Is it just in Florida? When I lived in the Arlington, VA area this rarely (if ever) happened. If someone is running well over an hour behind, the office should be notifying patients when they sign in. Guess who had to miss a meeting due to the lackadaisical actions of her gynecologist? Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to Dr. Digiorgi's office.

I was left at the door by the medical assistant who ignored my request for help, which left me feeling dizzy and vulnerable due to my health conditions. She was very rude turning her back on me when I was speaking and then walking away. I was left at the door not knowing what to do. The doctor wrongly accused me of rudeness without seeking my side of the story, instead choosing to berate me for something I did not do. I was not rude to anyone. Despite my attempts to communicate my needs, the medical staff showed no concern for my well-being, treating me as less important than themselves. The doctor ridiculed and belittled me in a fit of anger unable to control himself. I was unable to discuss some of the heart issues concerning me. This experience has led to a profound fear of healthcare, as the doctor's angry outburst and unfounded accusations caused me psychological harm. When going for care I never anticipated to be an mistreated. I feel betrayed by a system I once respected. In my opinion the doctor violated his duty to care for an elderly disabled person like me. They should all be ashamed of themselves. I needed mercy but they had none.
