I hired Kenneth Lee for a plumbing job and while the work was completed satisfactorily, I had…read moreconcerns about the billing process. I was quoted a ballpark estimate (based on time) but the final invoice came in higher due to charges I wasn't made aware of in advance--specifically related to labor for a second technician and added materials for a valve I provided. The work itself only took about 3 hours, but I was billed for significantly more in labor (about 6 hours) without any prior explanation that two technicians would increase the cost. When I brought up the discrepancy, I found the response dismissive rather than collaborative. I don't mind paying for quality work, but I value transparency and clear communication--especially when it comes to pricing. Unfortunately, that was lacking in this experience.

We recently purchased a condo as an investment property in Estero Florida. The condo had many…read moreissues and broken items, appliances, etc. - one being a broken kitchen faucet. Being completely new to the area, not having any friends or relatives in the area, and not knowing really who to call, I went on Google and the Yellow Pages online looking for plumbers. I called a few who said they would definitely come out and give me an estimate, however if I chose not to have them do the work, they would charge me a fee to come out. Having lived in Atlanta for 30 years, I've used my share of different plumbers and have had some guys come in and do 5 minutes worth of work and charge me $250 because "that's what the book says to charge" so I was already a little worried about this one. I then called Moen Brothers. They came out on time, prepared to do the work, provided an excellent price ($115) to install the faucet I had purchased in advance. The work took about 35-45 minutes because some lines were crimped, etc. but when the job was done, the faucet looks and works wonderfully. If I have future plumbing needs, I will not hesitate to call these folks out again - they're wonderful. And finally let me say, I'm not related to these guys; we're not friends; the only way I know them is through this single experience as a plumber that we used. I have no incentive to write this review except I felt like doing something nice to repay them (other than the $115) for their honesty and integrity, and their great plumbing work. Moen Brothers Plumbing is the way to go!

After calling an electrician and another plumbing company, they were unable to identify the problem over the phone; they would charge a hefty fee to send a technician over and diagnose the issue. With Tim, he asked for our address after listening to our situation; he drove over within fifteen minutes -- no appointment or prior call. Tim's knowledge about the well/plumbing was clear; he fixed the problem within ten minutes. Instead of charging a fee and leaving, he went ahead and taught me about the well, including parts that he recommended replacing with price estimates/quotes. Then, he proceeded to clean the tank, and surrounding area, which was never cleaned before in over ten years. He only charged us $75 for his work, while other companies charge around $100 just to send a technician. My family was incredibly thankful to have running water again, but we were even more impressed with Tim's efficiency and expertise.

My AC went out right before christmas day and I need my AC. Rian made a trip to my house on christmas eve day. I was very impressed and he was very knowledgeable. He even let me watch the work. I probably bothered him but he was very nice. After that I scheduled my maintenance with him. Rian even does dryer vent cleaning. My vent was disgusting. His prices are very reasonable. I called RDS Air Conditioning and asked for an estimate for specific work needed and was informed…read morethey had to come to my home to evaluate my ac before giving an estimate, at no cost. I received an email with the date/time/ free estimate written in email. I called to reschedule the date and I was told there was no appt scheduled and they do not give free estimates. I was told its a $200 fee to come out for an estimate and this will not apply to any work done by them. The worst part is I forwarded their e-mail back to them because I felt I needed to prove they scheduled an appt with me and it quoted "free estimate" on their email. The reply I got back, "This email came from our call center and we do not give free estimates." Wow! Not even an apology for their own call center giving incorrect information. I at least expected a manager to call me to discuss this. The cost they charge is actually excessive when I checked comps and most companies at least apply it to the final bill. If thinking of using RDS the customer service is definitely lacking professionalism.
