Last Friday morning I came back from running a morning errand and noticed that my daughters car (parked in our gated community and under a carport) had its tires and rims stolen and the car was on cinderblocks!!! Awful! After calling 911, notifying our community manager, taking pictures, calling out of work, contacting insurance (this incident was NOT covered), and getting my mind right, I started calling local towing companies. This proved to be quite the chore. Many tow companies don't tow cars with no rims and tires. I mean, I get it but, what's a person to do?! I then found one that was going to charge me A LOT ... including a deposit and $5 per mile to the cars destination. Yikes! I called Best Houston Towing, they answered quickly, the gentleman was super nice, quick with info, gave me a great quote for the tow, and let me know just what time the driver would be at our place with rims and tires to put on the car and to get to the tire/rim shop! It literally ALL happened just like that and was SUPER seamless!!!! The driver was on time, wore a mask for his and our safety, was as nice and friendly as could be, and worked efficiently and effectively to get the car safely loaded onto the truck and then got it safely to the tire/rim store! I am beyond thankful for the great customer service and support from Best Houston Towing, and really helped to turn a bad situation into a positive one!! Yelp's 2019 best towing companies popped up as an option - my interest was piqued. Upon opening the web page it gave me a bunch of sponsored options. I noted one gave the option of requesting a quote online. I keyed in what I needed; my car towed to a dealership 12 miles away. Not only was Lauren Towing the quickest to respond but also by FAR the most affordable. My dude was able to arrive at my apartment within 25 minutes of my reaching out to him and telling I'm I needed someone ASAP. Around the arrival time I went outside to wait. The owner/driver pulled up, SO friendly. He was all smiles and asked if I needed a ride to the dealership - I did, but so did my mom. He got our car up onto his truck and took us both to the dealership, no biggie! During the ride he was so much fun to talk to and was genuinely kind, asking about what I was going to do with the car. When he learned I was trading it in, he followed up with asking what kind of car, and gave me some of his own fun opinions on cars. A very pleasant experience! Because true to their name, they really did rescue me…read more --- --- --- I was heading to the grocery store and noticed that my low tire pressure light came on as I was backing out of the driveway, but that always happens in the cold weather, and it just so happened to be after a major cold front came in and I hadn't driven the car in a couple of days. So I ignored it and kept driving. Big mistake. I got a few miles down the road and started to hear the lovely sound of a shredded tire flopping around in the wind. I pulled over, and sure enough, my tire was cooked. Next step: utilize roadside assistance through my insurance. They quoted me 75-105 minutes. So I sat and I waited. 99 minutes later, I get a call that the provider was trying to call me, couldn't find me, and moved onto another job. None of this was true, but the important thing was they told me it would be an additional 90-120 minutes. No thanks. I just started calling around to every roadside company I could find on Yelp. I kept getting voicemail after voicemail. Until finally, Green Roadside Rescue picked up. He said he could get to me in about 40 minutes. 40 minutes later, he was there. And I don't think it took him more than 5 minutes to swap out the tire. It was the happiest I've ever been to spend $75, and not just because my insurance company will have to reimburse it. I wish I would have just called here first and definitely will do that next time.
