The wait is long every single time. My first experience I waited 6 months when I was told two…read moremonths. My second experience I waited 7 months and was told 2 months. My third experience was the third strike. I was told 3 months and waited 16 months to get my furniture back. Yes, you read that right. Sixteen months. They told me at 8 months my fabric was cut and ready. They told me at 12 months it would be the next week. They told me at 14 months it would be the next week. I finally got ugly and two weeks later I was able to pick up my furniture.

Not the quality of workmanship I was looking for…read more I was referred to Burke's by another upholstery shop because they would not be able to get to my interior in a acceptable amount of time. I called him and made sure he would be there if I drove over since it is about 60 miles one way. His shop is located on his property out in the country, I don't mind that but if you go there with a trailer he has no room to turn anything around. We discussed the upholstery and I left the parts. He said that it would be a couple of months. He met the deadline however there were some wrinkles. Rick called me and said he had the front and rear seat done and that I need to pick them up because he didn't have room to keep them and he couldn't move the front seat off the table. I agreed and drove over there to pick them up. I questioned the lines of the pleats and he said it will settle and line up. I disagree but I knew I had no recourse with him. He said that the door panels would be a couple more weeks and he called me and said they were done. I drove over there the next morning and picked them up. Again, I wasn't impressed with the craftsmanship but took them thinking I had all parts. I drove back about 30 miles when he called and said he forgot to give me two pieces. I asked him to ship them to me and he said he didn't have a box. If I made a mistake I would go out of my way to make it right. He was paid in full and probably couldn't care less. I ended up making another trip to retrieve the remaining pieces. Now, Burkes's may be capable of recovering furniture or boats but I cannot recommend him to recover a classic car. I had it painted and some custom work done and to see this interior has made me sick. I would not utilize his services again given his work on this project. I have already decided to wait some time and have the entire interior redone. I will definately take more precautions to prevent this disappointment.

Around $1000 to replace heated, electric seat. Andra at Affordable Upholstery was able to repair the seat for $150, and it looks brand new! Great job Andra! You guys were quick, too. Brought it in at 9:00AM, done by Noon. And, you left my car's interior spotless--better than when I dropped it off! I'll definitely tell everyone to come to you!
