They answered every question honestly and thoroughly without sugar coating anything which I greatly appreciated. Dr. Marilou Yap-Tan was very gentle and conservative. During my consultation Dr. Marilou patiently discussed all of my questions and addressed my concerns. She made me feel comfortable and reviewed how she would address each issue. At the end of the consultation, she told me that, since cauterization would be very painful, I should try a home treatment first. She carefully wrote every step and included the prescription too. After seeing me, I was expecting a hefty sum to pay for the consultation. So, I was very surprised when her assistant told me that I only had to pay Php500. I love the relaxing ambience of the place and also because it is clean. The staff are all friendly and attentive to your needs. I used to avail their eyebrow threading service (P150) until I learned to pluck my own brows. I used to be afraid of underarm (P200) and leg waxing (P406) until I tried it and really enjoyed it because it doesn't hurt! (Maybe it depends on the person doing it for you) but I never encountered pain in the hands of their staff. Tip: For girls, I've been observing when is the best time to have your hair waxed and I found out it is best one week after your period!

Her gift was perfect as Dermalogica is conveniently located inside Rustan's department store in Glorietta. The dedicated are for Dermalogica at the top floor is simple, clean and straightforward, much like their services. They have lockers where you may deposit your belongings, then change into their robe (more like a wrap-around towel actually) before getting treatments done. The treatment was the "usual", minus the invasive pricking and squeezing, as they have a different technique for extracting impurities from the face. I also like that the process is gentle enough to allow me to get forty winks.
