First off, huge thank you to my friend who works at this location, Anika, for letting me know about special deals as I was on a very tight budget for my wedding dress (under $100) and huge thank you to the staff at this location who were so kind and helpful!! There really ought to be a negative scale when qualifying with stars. Being there are no reviews in less than two years, this post is probably pointless. Our son is getting married in December,so naturally, my wife needs a dress for the occasion and found one on David's Bridal website (in June mind you). Website states she has seven (7!) days after receipt to return or exchange. She orders the dress and it comes damaged. No big deal, we can swap it, right? Not so much, none in stock (also naturally). While in the store for the return, she looks around at in stock dresses and finds one she likes. Tries it on, gets approval from family members but notices it's a bit chewed up on the inside (from others trying it on I'm sure) and asks if they can order another. She gets the affirmative, but they say it'll be September before the new dress arrives (hand made and all that...). She thinks to ask while the order is being placed will she still have seven (7!) days to return it should something change (September to December is four (4!) months apart don't you know) and she gets another affirmative. She actually asks twice and got an affirmative. Well now it's the end of July and the dress came in TWO MONTHS EARLY. Just so happens the dress code is now 'Sunday Casual' and now the $300 dress is way too dressy. No way she'll waltz in there like Lady Mary Crowley at Downton Abbey. So she goes to the store (where the dress is at mind you) to get her money back. Well guess what?? They won't give money back. The seven (7!) day return policy is seven (7!) days after PURCHASE. How in the actual hell is a person supposed to try on and approve of a dress that has only a seven (7!) day return policy if it takes a minimum of a month to receive the dress in the first place?!?!?!? I'm not sure what brainless overpaid nimrod came up with this return policy. You can buy it online and get seven (7!) ACTUAL days, but buy in store, not get it in hand, and the timer starts ticking. Customer service? Forget about it. She calls them and the lady 'understands' but can't do anything about it. You'd have to have a time machine to actually go by there return policy. I have spent thousands of dollars in still store over the years for weddings, formal occasions, homecomings, proms.. The one time I want to return a dress back to the Pierre Bossier Mall location in Bossier City, La., the manager sourly tells me that there is a no return policy; "It says it on your receipt". Who analyzes their receipt that closely? You don't buy with intentions to return. This needs to be on the front door and/or told to you when you are paying. She was quick to get off the phone with me in a "I really don't care" manner. Last dollar you will EVER receive from me David's Bridal! You are only one of many dress stores, so you can keep your dresses and rude managers. read more

This place is awful. It was quite possibly the worst customer service we have ever received. Thankfully my daughter had already found her wedding dress before she went to David's Bridal. She went to pick out dresses for her bride's maids. One of the bride's maids couldn't be there but my daughter had her measurements. They told her that wouldn't work they needed her pants size. We ordered the dress that way then when it came in it was way too small. We called to get a larger size they said they couldn't get one that color in time for the wedding so she had to wear a different colored dress. We tried to fix the problem online but that was a complete waste of time. A wedding is one of the most important things a person experiences. Don't risk that important day by using this business. I am only giving them 1 star because it wouldn't let me give them 0. read more

Worst customer service EVER! Went on a Sunday with my daughter to look at homecoming dresses. Was told to sign in, clerk waved a hand to show us where they were and stated if we needed to try anything on to come back to podium. After looking at selection, we told the same clerk, who is standing behind counter, that we were interested in some we seen online but did not see in store. Her reply was to state the obvious, "We don't carry everything in store that you see online". So, I inquired can we order? Reply "Yes". And how long does it take to come in? Reply "It depends"....and that's it. So my daughter found 3 dresses to try on, went to the podium. The same clerk comes from behind the counter, says " Go in 9". No assistance carrying dresses, no assistance trying them on, nothing! So with the 3rd dress on, my daughter walked around the store to see if anything else interested her, for 15 mins, no one tried to assist. She put her clothes on and we sat there for 20 more minutes googling other formal shops in the area. Again, no employee offered any assistance or said a word to us. We left. Would not wear a dress from Davids if it was FREE!!! read more

Where do I start with this horrible horrible experience.... I took my best friend so we could get an idea of bridesmaids dresses and the selection was not great so we decided to look at the formal dresses that had instead and if they had them in the color we needed that might be a better option even if they are a little more on the pricier side if they look great and the color is good then we will spend the money. Anyway only 2 options were great there but they realized even after clarifying the color we needed that the dresses didn't actually come in that color. Moving on from there we decided to take a look at the new dress arrivals for the bride to see if there was a style she like in the color she wanted. The first thing we were asked is if we have an appointment I said no we are not seeking a consultation we wanted to see the new arrivals which are labeled with pick ribbons so we don't need assistance with that. Keep in mind at this point I was able to try on two dresses myself and there was no issue. There was one girl we asked a question to see if they had a dress in a bigger size and she checked for us and said no but it could be ordered we said thank you then she offered to see if they had another dress in a similar size so we said okay that could work as the girl is helping us this black lady comes up with an attitude and says no you need an appointment to get further assistance and she had an appointment coming at 6 pm keep in mind it just turned 5pm and I said that's fine we acutely wanted a dress that you don't have in her size but we can't try one on before the order because you don't have her size and the girl offered to find a similar one so we could see the fit prior to order. I said well can I help her try on this one dress that she said was the closest the black lady when on with this longest explanation I said so basically no she said we could do this with an appointment I said we don't need the full experience we only need to make sure this is the right fit before having you order a dress the black lady said we don't have her size I said wow not even an offer of anything but an appointment. So let me get this right you don't have the size in the dress that she loves and we can't try in the dress that is closest in style what is the point of setting an appointment to be told the same thing just in an hour time slot. Needless to say the rude behavior and nonsense I and my friend will never shop here ever and we will pass his along to as many people as we can. Keep in mind the dress we wanted for her was $5000 add that to the bridesmaids dress at $260 each for 8 of us you have lost out I know you don't care because to you the amount is so minimal but we would pay more at a different place who treats people with respect and actual customer service I will never again step foot in a David's Bridal read more

Horrible customer service! A bride brought her dress and we went to see the dress on for the first time. When she tried it on it had stains and tears EVERYWHERE! She ordered a new dress only to have the exact thing happen again when she went to try it on. we have to drive an hour to get to David's Bridal to order our dresses for the upcoming wedding. we picked up the bride's dress, thinking everything was fine, came home & tried it on later that day, when we did try it on we discovered that some of the buttons were missing & the dress was not the one that we had ordered, it was the one that was on display that had been on the show room floor!! it was not the right dress at all!! we were shocked!! of course, they will make it good but that is not the point at all. our trip just to get to bossier, was an hour!! we did not get the right dress!! never again!! read more

Worst service I have ever experienced! I ordered my dress in February for a July wedding and was told it would be here June 2nd. I thought that was a significant wait considering 3 other bridesmaids at 3 different David's bridal were able to get their dresses within 1-2 months. When my dress came in june 2 it was the incorrect dress. David's bridal did honor their mistake and let me exchange the dress for the correct dress. I was told the new dress would be in within the week. A week later I called due to not hearing from David's bridal and learned my dress would not arrive until July 6th! I explained to them this was not acceptable because this did not leave enough time for my needed alterations (I'm 7 months pregnant and had explained this upon ordering and at the exchange). They said they could have it the week of June 27 and would do the best they could on getting my alterations done in time. I called today, June 28, and was again told it wouldn't arrive till July 6th!!! The manager finally checked and said it had shipped and would arrive June 29. Again, when I expressed concerns about alterations I was told they'd do the best they could. I ordered my dress in February knowing I needed extra time for alterations. I have never been told sorry, offered compensation, or expedited alterations services. If this is the best David's bridal can do then the best I can do is shop somewhere else! read more

I'm so disheartened by my experience at David's Bridal in Bossier City. The initial consultation was overall a good experience, although upon my arrival it was extremely unorganized and the consultant did not grasp or understand my vision. I did however, with much help from my Mother-in-law and bridesmaids, find my dress there and I loved it! Now the alteration process, was a disaster. Unless you are working with Jo Ann, who is the alterations manager, do NOT waste your time here! Please, take your dress to be altered elsewhere. It took me FOUR ALTERATION SESSIONS until they finally had my dress fitted correctly; by this time, it was only one week out from my wedding, and we started this process 2 1/2 months out from my date. Miss Jo Ann was the only person in the alterations department who would listen to my needs and meet them. Everyone else was lazy. One of the seamstresses told me "we cannot take in a dress at the zipper", which is UNHEARD of from any alterations store, ESPECIALLY a bridal store. After pushing to get the dress altered in the location that needed it, the woman working with me finally admitted "We can do that, it just takes a lot of work and effort and I don't want to do that." You can understand a brides disappointment when her seamstress tells her she "doesn't want to do the work" to make her dress fit properly. My overall experience at this David's Bridal location caused me nothing but stress and heartache. I never left the store feeling confident that they would get my dress altered according to my needs. I strongly advise getting your dress altered at a stand alone seamstress. read more

Also, the store manager, Jennan, was beyond rude when she found out nobody had helped us yet when many employee were sitting around. I am getting married and this put a bad taste for my whole experience. I hope she gets fired. I am calling corporate to make sure they know how she's managing a store. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced... I visited the David's Bridal location in Bossier City, LA on July 14th to look for bridesmaid dresses for my upcoming wedding. We tried the versa convertible dress in which was recommended for the various body types in my wedding...when I asked our consultant to assist in showing us the different ways to tie the dress, she responded that she has not had any training with this dress and unfortunately was unable to assist. At the same time, I had to keep leaving my bridesmaid to go find our consultant. This would have been fine if the location was busy, but literally, there was one additional customer, in which they were trying on wedding dresses, and I went through the proper procedures of making an appointment, so I feel that too is no excuse. This particular bridesmaid is of larger statue and in the midst of me going to look for our consultant, I overheard her and another employee talking about my bridesmaid...I was very shocked as I have never experienced this type of service before...at least wait until we leave! Still in our allotted appointment time, I decided to browse through some of the wedding dresses for myself and surprisingly, one dress in particular stuck out to me and I requested to try on the dress. I was told that I could not try on the dress because I did not have an appointment, which was weird because I made one for the bridesmaid and our time was not up...very sad, because both me and my bridesmaid was ready to buy, in addition to the other 5 bridesmaids that I have that would have purchased from this location...The following weekend I went to the David's Bridal location in Little Rock, AR, and this location blew Bossier City/Shreveport out of the water! I was told by the Little Rock location that some managers read the reviews on yelp...my first time ever posting on this site, but I felt it necessary. So, if the manager of David's Bridal Bossier City happens to read this...please review your cameras for July 14th, appointment time 6:30 pm...just to validate my story. I thankfully did not get my wedding dress here, however, we did get the bridesmaid dresses and if I had it to do over, I would go somewhere else. While the lady that helped us was very nice, the organization and process of it all was a mess. They seemed to have no idea what their inventory was, they couldn't give any firm dates on delivery if a dress is ordered. They are very rude when explaining the return policy (or lack of). The overall attitude of all the staff is ridiculous. The roll their eyes, nobody smiles, they have very poor speaking skills and customer service skills. I asked for a fabric swatch and they had the nerve to charge me for it. Did not matter that we had spent hundreds on the bridesmaid dresses already, they insisted on getting that $1.08 for the fabric swatch too. Do not go here if you want to feel special.
