Dr. Climie is extremely patient, very busy, but so knowledgeable and a great listener. She's so easy to talk to as well and so good at explaining ailments and diagnosis in layman's term. I would trust my health and well-being to her, she really has your best interest at heart. It's definitely true that it can take months to get scheduled in with her, but she's worth the wait for a very thorough exam and evaluation. I have been to see her for over a decade and would definitely recommend her to anyone.

She's a fairly young doctor, which I really relate to. I don't feel the need to keep information from her, or embarrassed to tell her things a doctor should know. Her office (along with all the other doctors') is located on the second floor of this Oakwood building. There's a large waiting room with plenty of magazines to read and a TV to watch to pass the time. My doctor has been known to be late to appointments, meaning lots of time in the waiting room, then more time spent in an examine room. I really don't mind this because I know that Dr. Climie is very thorough and listens to her patients' concerns. If being on time is very important to you, request an appointment at the beginning of the day or right after her lunch hour. I've got a handful of friends who come to this particular doctor. We all agree she's great at what she does. If you need a new family practice doctor, I definitely recommend Dr. Climie.

I did some research on the internet and found Dr Farah who had received quite a few positive testimonials from patients. I had an appointment with him two days later and found him to be pleasant, congenial, patient, and informative. He tentatively diagnosed the painful problem and recommended treatment alternatives. He also recommended a shoe orthotic to relieve the pressure and I was pleasantly surprised that the cost of the two I purchased at the office was far less than I expected and well within the price range of those bought in stores such as Dick's etc. Two weeks later I needed a follow-up for issues with my other foot and the orthotic though Dr Farah was not available. Instead, I saw his associate Dr Purtuc. Well, everything I said about Dr Farah applies to this young man as well. However, I indicated to him that I had initially searched for a sports medicine podiatrist to treat my foot problem and that none were available in the Downriver area. As we discussed my concerns I discovered that Dr Purtuc is a runner and has considerable information for sports-related injuries. He made suggestions, altered my shoe laces to relieve pressure, demonstrated stretching exercises for Achilles, heel, plantar area and adjusted the orthotic. He was patient, answered all my questions and provided a feeling of confidence. Overall, I was pleased with Dr Farah and Dr Purtuc in my treatment(s) and am confident that either would be a good choice for new patients to consider. However, if a sports oriented approach is what you're looking for, then Dr Purtuc might be someone to meet your needs though, in fairness, perhaps Dr Farah might also respond to such an approach if queried. The staff is friendly and caring and the office pleasant, clean, comfortable and modern.

He really looks out for your best interest, not only in his practice, but also in the hospital when surgery is needed (like for my case). I am confident in his care and I feel I am getting the best I can get! Also, his employees are great...they are friendly and treat you as family and they are knowledgeable as well. Dr. Farah accepts BCBS, so go to him if you have any special foot health needs!

It seemed to be advertised as a family practice but then when I called I find out it is walk in only. If I had known that I would have showed up right when they opened. I tried calling at 9, at the time they supposedly open, and for ten minutes it still went immediately to the answering service because they had not turned the phones on. I kept calling until someone finally answered because I needed to get in that morning. So I go to the clinic and luckily the only person before me was already leaving. I go to sign in and the woman at the counter doesn't even look at me. This is the same rude woman who answered the phone in a very curt tone. The mousy looking lady at the desk with the dark hair seriously needs to be in a new field because her customer service skills are nonexistent. They could also be more discreet in the way they collect lab samples. Not great compared to other places. Prices start at $95 for a visit. The good part is I was in and out pretty quick. The Dr. was polite but definitely no warm fuzzy vibes given off. Like I would never go there for primary care. He did listen to what I needed and gave me the medication I know works for me. The medical assistant was very friendly. It was sufficient seeing as I already knew what was wrong and exactly what I needed a script for.

He called, booked an appointment and got in and not even a weeks time. So yesterday was his first appointment as a new patient. He said from the moment he walked in, the lady at the front desk was just an absolute doll just beyond nice and friendly. Then he seen Doctor Charara. He absolutely loves him and my husband is not a Dr. person. He said he spent more than a reasonable amount of time with him. Everything that you would want a doctor nowadays to do on a first check up. He was just the most kind, caring an awesome Dr. and I didn't see his name in the list here so I'm hoping he gets his own personal page because I've already put him on Facebook and Google to highly highly recommend him. You will not be sorry I promise What an absolute joy to have a fantastic doctor in this day and age

Oh my. Where do I start?…read more The intake appointment is the only appointment I had that I waited in the lobby less than 1 hour, for internal medicine and OB/GYN, even if there was no one in the lobby. The atmosphere feels like the "fast food" of medical offices. In internal medicine, I saw Dr. Sheila Sungurlu only 3 times and that was more than enough for me. I was complaining about the continuous hour wait to the staff after the intake. For the intake, there was a 15 minute wait. On the third appointment, she came into the room obviously suppressing her rage. This was beyond anger. She didn't even say hello and started laying into me, literally. I thought it was going to turn into a yelling match. She pretty much said that the wait is always an hour at least and if I could find somewhere else that the wait was shorter, then go do it... three times. Then, she proceeded to say that she waited 2 hours for her PCP. Who in their right mind would do that? She was rude, snarky, and outright refused medical records I had in hand from a previous doctor. It was always an issue getting prescription refills. They were additionally always incorrect. The office staff was just as, err, pleasant. I also saw their OB/GYN, Dr. Danysh Bohdan, for a routine yearly exam & pap. He did the exam without a nurse in the room, which from what I heard later is illegal. While he was doing the exam, he did not remove my birth control. The speculum was causing me pain during the exam due to this. I asked if he would remove the birth control because he was hurting me. He refused. I had other issues I wanted to discuss with him and it was like pulling teeth to get any helpful information from him or further course of action. He was very blah about everything and didn't seem to care about much. The routine blood work I needed did not show 2 of the medications I was on, twice. The Phlebotomist was not very skilled after boasting working in the ER on overnights and with newborns. It took 3 sticks to get 2 tubes. To get through to anyone at Oakwood to file a complaint took me over 1 week to get a call back for information on where to send a complaint, even though they have those "Tell us how we are doing" cards in each specialization office. If I were you, pass this place running, driving, flying, wind sailing, 4 wheeling, hang gliding, or whatever you use as a mode of transportation. Within 1 week, I found a clinic with the best PCP I've ever had, an OB/GYN that's fantastic with an average wait time of around 20 minutes or less. Don't settle people. It's your health!
