Dr. Pires was very kind and relatable, he was very calm and my fears and told me that he had a little one around the age of mine. His staff was very friendly and competent, and he saved me from a pricey, expensive surgery. He completely fixed my issue in 5-10 minutes with a simple laser procedure that was significantly less invasive and expensive. I would highly recommend Dr Pires if you ever need a periodontist. I've seen a few, and he's the best in NE Ohio, hands down.

I had a horrible experience when I was little, and once I turned 16, I refused to go to the dentist for almost 7 years. Dr. Mungo has been my dentist for 2 years now. He's been my best friend's dentist since she was a little kid. The office is a little dated (wood-paneling anyone?), but clean and tidy. The receptionist is very pleasant, paperwork is very limited. I had to fill out paperwork the first time I went in, but now I walk in and out with nothing more than the next appt card. The hygienist is hilarious and awesome. She has the most amazing ability to set me completely at ease. The first time I met her, I told her about being terrified (I was literally shaking like a leaf), she just hugged me and started talking to me like she had known me all of her life. Dr. Mungo himself is a no-nonsense and honest fellow. He's not going to perform unnecessary procedures just to line his own pocket. I have a back molar that I lost the filing. Any other dentist would have started drilling the second he saw it, but Dr. Mungo looked at the x-rays and said that there was no need to refill it with the way I had worn it down (and I'd have to keep having it refilled due to the way my teeth wear). I had planned on spending $1300+ to have it capped, but low-and-behold! Nada! Something must have clicked because now I LOOK FORWARD to going to the dentist! ME! I never thought I'd ever be able to shock myself, but I actually look forward to seeing Dr. Mungo twice a year. It's absolutely crazy, I tell ya.

She had been asking about the tooth for some months, but Dr. Mungo repeatedly said it was a small problem. We all switched dentists to the same one, who had decades of good reviews and none of us (five people) spent less than $1000 getting things fixed that had obviously been years in the making. We all had also gone for twice-yearly visits, brushed everyday, flossed, etc. I discovered that I had five cavities and an impacted wisdom tooth (he had repeatedly told me I had none; two erupted in addition to the impacted one.) Furthermore, he tended to make nasty and sexist comments to the female members of our family, such as that they were single because of their teeth. Even the dental hygienist seemed anxious when she overheard him say this. I would not recommend him to anyone.
