I think there are at least eight doctors that are in this practice with a variety of orthopedic specialties. Additionally there's an excellent group of x-ray technicians that very capably take your needed x-rays at the time of your doctor appointment. They are instantly ready to be viewed by your doctor. The patient alone is escorted in for x-rays and then returned to the waiting room for anyone that may be accompanying you to your doctor appointment. There are a variety of chairs in the waiting room including some tall seats to make all patients comfortable while waiting for your appointment. The front office staff are quite efficient and if you do the pre-registration on your cell phone prior to your appointment you will only have one page to sign. You may be caught off guard when you walk in and see so many patients waiting but don't panic. There is more than one doctor seeing them all and some are there just to get an injection that doesn't take much of the doctor's time. I can't exclaim enough with how happy I am with this practice and specifically with my physician Dr. Reid Brown. If you need a Knee Replacement, Hip Replacement or Pelvic surgery he is the one to see! Five stars all the way from start to finish when other doctor's did not think there was an option for my condition.

I was referred by a spine surgeon that knew surgery was not an option for me. The doctor that had ordered an MRI of my back said I should NEVER consider spine surgery. When I first arrived at this practice over a year ago the PA Shaun Nicole Wright had reviewed my MRI. After an exam she determined I was definitely a candidate for a spinal injection. Since I have numerous issues with my back she let me choose which area was of highest priority to me for treatment. She warned me that whatever I chose would be the only injection for at least three months. When I indicated lower spine she was a little surprised but then on manual pressure examination she agreed. At the end of the first visit I stopped at the office for surgical scheduling for an SI Injection. After the 1st injection I am sold and have recommended to others to skip major surgery and consider cortisone injections. In the past year I have remained in the kind care of PA Shaun Wright. She herself is fabulous, thorough, and well informed. Last November when I needed a repeat of the SI injection she knew the surgeon was going on maternity leave. While I sat in the exam room she reached out first hand to the surgeon to see if I could be squeaked in. The surgeon, Dr Bauer agreed to do my injection in the office the following week since space in the Surgical Center was not available. Not many doctors would be thar accommodating. I have remained a loyal patient since the beginning and go every three months for reevaluation. The injections are so successful that I can go much longer than the three month required interval. I honestly thought my appointment was at 9:30. Turns out my appointment was at 9:20. While checking in I was told that I might not be seen due to being late, to have a seat, and she would check to see if I could still be seen. To my surprise the "15 minute late" policy that I found online is not current. The new policy is "5 minute late". I understand that they are busy and have a schedule to keep up with. My issue is, as a patient, when I have an appointment, a block is scheduled off for me. On average a patient is scheduled for a 15-20 minute block. If I am 8 minutes late, and the next patient is already being seen in my scheduled block, why not see me in their scheduled block?? Not to mention how many times I have sat waiting to be seen way past my scheduled appointment time. If the patient cannot be more than 5 minutes late, then the patient should not have to wait more then 5 minutes past their appointment time to be seen. What's goes for one, goes for all. Yes I should have doubled checked my appointment time. Yes I should have arrived earlier. Yes this was also the first time I have been late for an appointment. My being late is not a habit. It was an honest mistake. Just know DONT BE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE

I am in constant significant back pain with a herniated disc, and I was referred to Dr. Vermuri to get an epidural injection ASAP. Meeting with Dr. Vermuri went fine and he said to schedule an epidural with his staff. I was told by his staff when checking out that I would hear back from the scheduling person within one to two days. After three days I called to find out when my epidural was scheduled for since I had not heard anything. I was told by someone named Amy that it is typically a week or more before an appointment can even be scheduled, and that they were currently running three weeks out AFTER you were scheduled. When I asked why in the world it takes a week to even get a procedure scheduled, I was told "the only person that schedules epidurals is Heidi, and she can take a week or more to schedule a procedure since she multitasks like the rest of us and has many other duties beside scheduling." So, I am in constant stabbing pain and at the mercy of a single multitasking "when she can get around to it" scheduler to even get on the books. That is one star. Appalling.

There is nothing worse that having debilitating Chronic pain that you cannot prove on some X-ray or MRI. There are people, working people, who unfortunately need pain medication to function in a productive life. I'm very greatful for those select doctors who's focus remains on providing compassion healthcare to their patients. As far as the medication refill process, all I can say is that a be sure you pay you balance in full before your meds are due to be filled. Request online on the portal 7-10 days prior if you have Medicaid.

He diagnosed the problem, told me that due to the severity the only option was surgery, and finished with the successful pain relieving surgery. Fast forward, I'm not sure how many years since that surgery and no pain but several months ago I wondered if it was coming back. In this modern era I researched on the internet and found carpal tunnel syndrome can reoccur. I convinced myself this was the problem and finally got around to scheduling an appointment with Dr. Blackburn. Today I went for that appointment and was once again impressed with Dr. Blackburn's professionalism, his examination , the x-rays to confirm his diagnosis, and the treatment. Great news it was not carpal tunnel, did not need surgery, and was treated with the fitting of a hard wrist brace. I'll go for a recheck in 6 weeks but I can tell there was Instant relief from the pain the minute the wrist brace was fitted. Thanks again Dr. Blackburn! You are Woohoo, as good as it gets.

Plexiglass barriers at the check in/out desks. Rooms have been stripped down to the minimum. Patients only, family and friends have to wait in the car. Everything is very clean and well maintained. For the waiting area: just remove the excess chairs and space out the rest of them; there's no need to keep all the chairs set up - this has been going on for a while - and stackable chairs can just be kept in a corner. I hate to say it, but the COVID restrictions make things better for the patients. No waiting for long periods of time because there were too many people scheduled and the doctor is behind. No crowded waiting rooms. You get in, get your tests/exams and get out. I could get used to this. Lots of parking, and there are restaurants and lots of stores close by if you are the driver and need to waste some time while waiting.
