Buying something as expensive and important as a house virtually seemed nuts. But as the new year began we started getting the urge to just take a look. Who knew that within just a few weeks we would have an accepted offer? There is no one else we would have felt comfortable buying remotely with. And the only reason we changed from just looking to seriously buying was because we came to trust and rely on Billy's opinions. He is not just a savvy and knowledgeable realtor, he is truly a sincere and nice guy. He would warn us that even if we lose out on a house, in the end it always works out (and SPOILER ALERT he's right). But he still commiserated with us when we were outbid and he really went above and beyond when we were searching for the right home. And he really does want to find you the right home. He will be honest with you about any negatives he sees and he will steer you away from any bad decisions. Sometimes we were so keen to just get a house that we were willing to settle or make hasty decisions. But Billy makes sure that whatever house you get is a great house and whatever you do is sound and smart. And I'm so glad that he was there with us helping make all our decisions. He would give us daily updates of his endeavors going door to door and networking with other agents. In the end it was a note of his he left on the door of a house that was off the market that did the trick. We were able to buy a house that was miles better than any of the other houses we put offers on with basically no other competition. In the crazy housing market right now you need someone like Billy who is willing to go the extra mile. He was always trying innovative techniques to help us stand out amongst other buyers and that's exactly what it takes these days. He's continued to be invaluable after closing. He was great to bounce ideas around with about updating the house after moving in and he and Heather have been great with recommendations. He is always super responsive and I'm so glad I can still rely on him even after we've closed.

This paired with Billy's deep knowledge and network in the Minnesota real estate community made for the dream team! We felt cared for (and about) at every turn. The entire experience was a joy!

After the tour, Stieg told me he didn't want to sell me that house since the odd layout would always detract from the value. Recommendation for Zac Bidelman/Keller Williams Preferred Realtor/Huerkamp Home Group…read more I first met Zac Bildelman after inquiring about a property that I was interested in. He made an appointment and showed me the property that same day. My first impression was that he was knowledgeable and able to answer my questions readily. I realized over time that because of all his additional attributes (Professional, always responsive, and very patient), he was the perfect realtor. It had been over 30 years since my husband, and I had previously scoured the cities in search of that one perfect realtor to help us find the house that was perfect for us at that time. Zac Bidelman patiently spent at least two years showing me various properties. He quickly fine-tuned the amenities that I was in search of until it basically came down to 3 or 4 properties. Once the perfect location came on the market, he helped me create an offer that he presented immediately. His quick action was the sole reason that I was able to buy the property that was perfectly suited to me. The second phase of my quest was to subsequently sell my house. During that process Zac assisted me with the preparations of getting the house we built 33 years prior ready for sale. His company hired an inspector and then advised me how to prioritize what to repair from the inspector's list. Zac had a "Stager" available to me who helped me get the house aesthetically ready to be viewed. The professional photographer that he used took exceptional photographs that helped present my house in the best possible light. This also included drone shots which helped highlight the fabulous view from and around my home. Regarding setting the sales price of my house, he listened to my input of what I felt the price should be set at - given that I knew my property and adjacent locations so well after living in the house for over three decades. Because of his skills as a realtor, my home sold in one day. For any and all of the above-stated reasons, I wholeheartedly recommend Zac Bidelman and his very accomplished assistants and team. Zac's contact info is as follows: (612) 712-9936 zac@hhgus.com

They obviously knew the market very well and the staging was INCREDIBLE and instrumental in the quick sale of our house. Happy with the counsel/advice we received and the fantastic service. While Cari Ann Carter Group is at a slightly higher % for realtor fees, worth it just for the staging and high touch service. UPDATE (approximately 1.5 years later): We recently used Cari Ann Carter again for the purchase of a lot. This was a bit spontaneous and Cari Ann is a pit bull when it comes to advocating for you. We were able to put in an offer Sunday, get a counteroffer Monday and secure the property on Tuesday. She was INSTRUMENTAL in making this happen quickly and is the best negotiator ever! She set reasonable expectations for us, which we really appreciated, and was very open in feedback along the entire way. More importantly, she is a DO-er! She had 2 contractors out within 12 hours of walking the property to help us with the logistics of design, finding a contractor, etc. You want her and her amazing team on your side when you're buying or selling!

Between the market loss on the value of our house and the $82,000 cost (!) to get the mold remediation and reconstruction done, I was really freaking out about how much we were going to lose on the sale of the house. We started off using my stepdaughter's then-fiancé as our realtor, and it was a disaster. He was uncomfortable with how I stressed I was and was afraid to tell me anything he thought I might get more upset about, so he didn't do his job -- which was to tell us the truth about what he had to do to get our house sold. At one point we suddenly started getting solicitation letters from realtors, which I assumed had to be unethical because we already had one... Or so we thought. We found out we had fallen through the cracks and he had orgotten to renew our agreement, so we found out from other realtors that we were no longer represented and the house was no longer listed. When we signed on with the Barkleys we found out that some things our former realtor was doing or trying to do were unethical or illegal, and we knew that we could trust them to do it right. They weren't daunted by my extremely high stress level, they told us the truth about what had to be done to sell our house, and they got the job done in a relatively painless and quick time frame. Not only were they honest, they clearly knew what they were doing, and they were all absolutely lovely to work with. If we hadn't moved across the country I wouldn't hesitate to have them help sell our current house when the time comes for us to move into a senior facility.
