Personally, not a fan of this particular behavioral health center. I was a patient here for three…read moredays. I signed a AMA to get released before my three days so once you sign that paperwork within 24 hours, somebody is supposed to come talk to you and then release you however they waited almost 2 full days before sending someone to talk to me by that time. I only had a day left and did not see any therapist or have any medication given to me. The day I was leaving, they prescribed me medicine 20 minutes before I left so they had no idea how the medicine was going to react to me and sent me about my way. I also had an incident inside the building where I started to feel nauseous and went to the bathroom to throw up somehow I ended up on the floor. The nurses did not really care at all. Nobody gave me any sort of medical attention besides asking if I was OK. I proceeded to throw up from almost 8 months straight after leaving the facility because not a single provider gave me proper medical attention. I personally wouldn't even send a dog here. Don't know how this place is still functioning because if it was up to me, I would shut it down.

My teen daughter was being seen by one of their counselors for 2-3 years. We had Never done…read morecounseling for a child before and had no idea how much we were supposed to be involved or not and wanted our daughter to have a safe space. The counselor NEVER made a treatment plan with me or my child to help her work through her depression, anxiety and OCD and kept signing my 90 treatment plans for insurance saying I was aware of them when I was not. I found out, just recently, by a medical provider these things have to be done. The counselor would play cards with my daughter weekly and they would come up with stupid inventions and ways to make money instead of treating my child and teaching her coping skills. When depression tests were given the counselor NEVER once told me my daughter was on the severe end of depression and signs to watch out for. If something would have happened to my daughter there would have been big problems. My daughter told her somethings in confidence, things she was having problems with, and the counselor told her that's normal and made her feel like it's ok to experience these things, when it's not normal or ok. My daughter just now is coming out telling us these things. My daughter is much worse off than she was when we started counseling and I thought I was helping her, not hurting her by sending her here! I feel like a terrible parent!!! Please whatever you do, do NOT take your child or teen to LifeWorks Counseling & Consulting!!! Please learn from my mistakes so your child doesn't have to suffer like mine has!!!
