It's amazing to me that a business, such as a hospital, can still thrive, even when the…read moreadministration is lacking even basic knowledge of how customer service works. I went to the ER one day. It doesn't matter why for this review. But, it had zero to do with any kind of symptom of covid. I had to be taken by ambulance from my home. The 4 people I officially "met" from the ambulance are the only reason for stars, at all. They were kind, compassionate, and let me know each step of the way what was happening. They were the true embodiment of quality care. Inside the ER, not so much. I was nothing more than a "thing", taking up their time. The nurse at the front desk shrieked that I had to put a mask on or be physically removed by security. I kindly said, "No ma'am, that's not possible." She turned to the security guard, who was standing a few feet behind her, and he shrugged and told her to quit saying that to people, as he had no authority to remove someone for that reason. She was then disgusting to me for the remainder of our interaction. Enter the next nurse. She took my vitals, scolded me about not having a mask on, and told me I'd have to be separated from the others in the waiting room. I didn't cause a scene, though. I just went and sat in the corner I was directed towards. I sat in that corner for 6 hours, in pain and scared, and no one ever bothered to get up to make me feel as though I was a priority of any kind. A woman on the opposite side of the wall actually had a patient advocate on speaker phone, as she too, had been ignored for multiple hours. She was taken next. Let that sink in. That's what it takes to get care here. I was finally taken back to a room, by nurse number 3. With her back to me, she was tough as nails, foaming about how inconsiderate of a human I was for not "masking up". At least she called me a human, as no other part of that visit made me feel like one. The doctor followed behind her, shortly. He introduced himself, withdrawing his hand when he realized my face could be seen. He was arrogant and quite sure of his superiority over me. As he physically scoffed while asking, "So, we think we're a rebel, huh?" Then laughed. I got the results of everything I had been waiting more than 7 hours on. I was then able to leave. My husband was there. A mask on his face. And, he held my arm and kept me steady as we walked out to the car. It didn't dawn on a single "healthcare provider" in this establishment to have a conversation with me. I was merely their enemy for looking differently, and they made sure I suffered. My insurance took care of the bill, less $63. That portion came to me. And, now I ask, what about my treatment that day warrants $63? No one can seem to answer my question. Instead, I just keep receiving red lettered notices in the mail. You'd think if money is owed to you, you'd be able to address the, "why?" when confronted with it. Now, please don't think I'm some unreasonable person, because I'm not. I understand it's my copay. I simply want for someone in that establishment to take responsibility for how a patient was treated. But, it'll never happen. I'm not unreasonable or naive. I do not recommend this hospital. The staff are all rugged individuals when faced with a weakened target. However, when you get your strength back and question their ethics, they all tuck tail and ignore you. I told you at the beginning, amazing!

Fast. Efficient. Most importantly, kind!…read more If you need notary services, please contact Amanda E Notary Services asap. I sent a quote request through Yelp. Amanda responded with lightning speed. It wasn't one of those weird automated responses like her competition sent. She assessed my needs and location and provided a quote within a few text exchanges. I genuinely appreciate Amanda's communication style. There are a few things that made my experience outstanding. Amanda didn't know about the stress my family was experiencing. She visited my family's home the day before my family member's major surgery. She didn't know I was visiting from out of town and didn't have a contact who could provide notary services. Due to my family member's health, we couldn't set up shop at the local UPS Store. Despite the lightning and pouring rain, Amanda came to the rescue with speed, empathy, and kindness. I also asked her about another service because I don't know anyone in the area. She graciously offered to make an introduction. I have set the intention to do future business with Amanda and recommend her services to anyone I meet. I hope this serves as a recommendation for you. Working with Amanda is a smart and easy decision if you need help in Winchester, VA or any area she serves.
