wow. what a horrendous scum of the earth company David Lloyds are. As a student I signed up for this gym as it was halfway between my uni and my home, allowing me a space to work out and complete work. However, exam stress led me to pause my membership and then as I completed uni I could no longer afford the extortionate £140/ month fee and decided to cancel. (unemployed with no income). BUT, the tiniest small print in the contract included a 12 month notice period needed. meaning I now owed over £1000 for a gym I wont use and cannot even afford the monthly payment. I have explained this to them with proof of a negative bank balance, however all they could offer was to say that the would send debt collectors after me (an unemployed student with no income). a horrendous way to treat customers. read more

Went for a swim here today, (got in for nothing as my Grandaughter's carer), not bad. Very helpful staff with a positive attitude. Every effort was made to persuade me to join but I explained that too healthy a life style/excercise disrupts my fondness of naughty foods etc!! Lovely pool, (not too cold for the old boy), that has a steam room, sauna and spa all built in. (I thought a steam room was a sauna)!! Fabulous restaurant but a little on the pricey side ie £6.95 for a Cheese Jacket..errr! Coffee's well priced. Quite a busy Gym but pretty quiet mid-pm. Classes at David Lloyd Worthing are fantastic. A very wide range that cover times that are likely to fit most schedules. Gym itself has everthing you need and more but can get busy at peak times. The jaccuzzi is great when its working (hense a loss of a star - seems to be my bad luck that its shut when I want to use it) The little cafe/bar is great sometimes noisy at the weekends from the Kids soft play but I mainly use this in the evenings so is kid free. Can watch the telly and have something nice a healthy to eat. Its nice to go home and not have to cook :) I have never used the tennis courts but I have popped up to have a look and they seem great I would recommend if you live in the area or passing through for a more social/casual swim for familys I would recommend Splashpoint closer to Worthing center read more

No male changing room or showers, lack of toilets for men, managed to find one disabled toilet upstairs. Dirty grimy gym with ageing equipment. Pool is fine with sauna, steam rooms relatively clean. Jacuzzi is where the men clean after a gym session so you take your chances. Tennis courts good order. Badminton has 2 courts no basketball multi sports hall anymore. £105 a month is not good value read more
