This company installs and services cental heating…read more When they installed my heating, I was really pleased with them. No mess, good natured, and very efficient. Such a relief! Now when they come to service the system, I find towels have been used to mop up water, artex powder is left on the carpet from checking the fire alarms, handmarks on the walls etc. So I am not so happy anymore. I'd recommend them as installers, but not as servicing contractors. Shop around though!

Two weeks later I telephoned to find out progress, left my number to await a call. When they phoned back I was told it was ready for collection, sorry for the delay, it had been mis-labelled so they didn't know to call me. I assume from this that if I had not chased them I would not have been told at all. When I went to collect the glass it was not as ordered at all even though I took the piece of glass from my counter with me for them to measure to avoid this. Sadly one look told me it was wrong as it did not have radial corners. They checked the order and apparently it was correct but the place where they cut it (their parent company, on the Nuffield Estate, Poole) had not followed instruction. Again, they will telephone me to let me know delivery date.... Eventually, after chasing them, again, they inform me that they (the Nuffield site) are behind so it will be another few days on top. At this point one of the guys in the warehouse at Christchurch (where I placed my order and expected it to be made) takes pity on me and goes to the Nuffield Estate to polish the piece of glass to hurry things along. The first (and only) good service from Dorset Glass Co. Now you would think this was the end of the saga... BUT NO! Now the problem on the beautifully polished, round cornered piece of glass is the size. It's about 2mm too long and a little less wide than it should be and consequently does not fit. Again, back to Christchurch, more time, more fuel, more inconvenience. I take the original counter glass, the new useless piece for them to see my problem. I am promised a call when they know yet another delivery date. That was a week ago. This morning, having heard nothing, I give them a ring. Not only were the first words not I'm sorry but I was clearly an inconvenience. The girl on the end of the phone says, "oh, I know it's been ordered." Ordered? Yes, I did that over a month ago! In summary DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you would like your glass in a timely manner with professional service. I am sure they would even be incapable of organising a party in a brewery. Incidently, I am awaiting yet another call! I will go yet again in the morning to retrieve my original piece of counter glass, my refund and almost certainly more attitude from the office staff then go to Tower Glass to order. Incidently, they are cheaper too (have already received the quote).
