I've usually average what seemed like eternity waiting to see the doctor, which turns to be like north of 45 minutes. Today I was lucky a I had an appointment in the morning. But once you get past the two biggest obstacles, the nurses usually are very nice and the doctors are capable and efficient. I've seen two doctors here and both have been very good ones, they understand the issue right away and can come up with a solution pretty quickly. I keep coming here because of the good reputation of north shore and how try are affiliated with U of C. But I hate dealing with the receptionists in the front and hate waiting way past my appointment time. If they could only train the front office better and emphasizing with us, it would go a long way.

This year 2025, Dr. Chan retired a week after seeing me. It was just a regular wellness going through my blood test results like before. 2 weeks later, I got a bill for medical visit. It's $600+ which I am responsible for $280+ after insurance discount. I called Northshore Medical to dispute the charge. They replied nothing but it's a medical visit because that is what in their computer. They changed the visit from wellness to medical after the doctor retired. Northshore medical group makes profit this way. I will stay away from this group.

I can tell she knows her stuff! She even caught a few issues that other doctors have not noticed (or at least not addressed), and got us both on the right track. Her nurse was great as well. She had to give us an immunization, and did a great job, a total pro with the needle, I didn't feel a thing! So glad to have found a new PCP that we like and trust.
