I had two visits this week to Gleneagles Family Medicine. I tested positive for Covid and was given…read moreprescription cough medication. After a few days, I feel like I am getting a sinus infection so I returned before the weekend. This medical office does a great job of working patients in. It is so popular that they are not taking new patients. It's been that way for at least 15 years it seems to me. Upon arrival with Dave, who probably has Covid because he is sick, we are immediately removed to a room away from the general population. I didn't mind. I don't have to sit in misery while I worry I might cough or sneeze with my mask on. Nobody wants to be near anyone who looks and feels sick. Doctor Brittany was out. Doctor Chrissy, more than capable of filling in for Doctor Brittany, checked us out. I have a secondary infection, sinus, developing. She checked me out and sent an e-prescription to Walgreens. Dave is positive for Covid. Doctor Chrissy sent cough medicine for him. Thankfully he wasn't as sick with Covid as I was. We have been patients at Gleneagles Family Medicine for years. Their willingness to work us in and the fabulous staff make for memorable office experiences. 5/5

I have been battling sinus issues for a month now. I get a sinus infection every fall and spring. I…read morehave been seeing the "doctors" at Gleneagles Family Medicine for probably half my life (I'm 32 now). They KNOW I have a history of this. They have refused to treat me and only want to test me for covid, which they had already done about a month ago. The test was negative. The doctor brushed off how I was feeling and said it was probably viral and gave me a prescription for antibiotics but told me not to fill them for a few days because he said I would start feeling better. I filled them immediately and took them as instructed. It's been a month and I am still having the same sinus related issues. They only wanted to test for covid again. I can't even count how many times I have been tested anymore and every single one of them has come back negative. Well I called and demanded treatment this morning. All I asked for was to be actually seen by a doctor or nurse practitioner and be given a steroid shot, antibiotics, and cough suppressant. After multiple phone calls to and from the nurse, not only was I NOT seen by a "doctor" or "nurse practitioner" I was literally given a steroid shot OUTSIDE in the alley. A nurse who did not identify herself came outside with a syringe, alcohol wipe and a band-aid. She said I could either bend over my front seat or step out of my vehicle to receive the shot. I have a very small car. I had to get out of my car and pull my butt out for anyone to see. After receiving the shot I had to ask for an antibiotic prescription again which was called into my pharmacy begrudgingly. I never received any prescription for my cough. This ally way that I just received my shot in is also where they do all of their drive by covid testing. So if I haven't had it before I probably do now....

Dr. Nortaman....After waiting months of finding a Dr since being in Alabama. I thought I had…read morefinally found a Dr. So first I understood that New Patients have to be there early but the issue is I had an old address that was on my insurance website. In which I made it there ON TIME. But then I couldn't find the office so I called the office and verified the address the Manager said that that's an old address and did I fill out new patient information. I said no because I had not received that option to do it from home. She stated depending on the situation when I get there it may be rescheduled but I told her I will be seen today because it wasn't my fault that the office didn't make sure I had the correct information. So I get in the parking lot 5 mins past my appointment. And the same lady talking about I will need to be rescheduled. First off I have high blood pressure and was running low on meds. This situation stressed me bad and do you think they care, hell no they don't. So I asked to speak to someone other than her and went and sat down. 10 mins later I was called up and was told the same early arrival information and not only that they decided to no longer will accept me and to find somewhere else. Of course I gave them attitude and walk out. You would have thought I was going to get my hair done thee way they refused me. The reminder text did not have an address. And the link she claimed had the address only directed me to appointment confirmed that's it. This supposed to be healthcare but yet they don't run it that way. If they don't like that your standing up for your rights they will refuse you. It's like you have to beg to be seen. SMH Like at least apologize for inconveniencing me, they were not apologetic at ALL. Staff was rude and how I was treated you expected someone to be nice NO. You get treated how you treat people PERIOD And when I called before I even arrived you stated that it was an old address and the the text that was sent for confirmation did not have an address. And let me go further yall lazy when it comes to telling people how much an office fee is, it's yall job to call the insurance and verify but yall to lazy to do so. Y'all rude and lazy. And from the other reviews on here I'm not the only one that thinks and know the STAFF IS RUDE. What else you have to say cause your showing your true colors by responding without being apologetic for my inconvenience. Funny that the so called STAFF does not get held accountable. Making it like I had an attitude for no reason. WOW
