I have used this firm for years and have always had great experiences. Doug is quite quick in processing the paperwork and getting your return ready. Also, the peace of mind knowing you have their support for an audit is comforting. A few years ago, I received an inquiry from the IRS, which Doug helped me answer without issue. I would strongly recommend this group and find them quite easy to do business with. JH read more

I reached out to this office being new in town and receiving an IRS audit.... Long story short Stacy helped me be the liaison with the IRS agent on my case and the audit ended up decently well. I appreciate the help in the matter and hope to utilize this CPA going forward read more

David really messed us up when I was healing from cancer. We reached out before my surgery to let him know and make sure he had everything he needed to file our taxes on time. He not only failed to file our taxes, he lied to us for months. So disappointing - skilled at deception with a friendly smile. read more

Absolutely floored with the unprofessional attitude and communication from from Doug Kesel. Not only was it unprofessional, we were blatantly lied to. Bad practices, put us in an awful spot, and TurboTax would've been a better option! We have seen so many outstanding reviews for David, and chose this firm based on that. When we met with Doug in December we explained our situation and how we were needing someone to file our taxes. It was understood when we met we were hiring him to file them. We should've known better after emailing and calling multiple times to find out how to go forward with little to no response that we should've chosen a different firm. Jan 31st - emailed about how to submit documents for our taxes. Feb 3rd - he responded that he would work to set up a document portal. March 9th - no portal was set up, we followed up and he finally responded and said he would set it up. It was set up that day. March 20th - all docs was uploaded, CPA responded acknowledging he received them. April 26th - Called the front desk twice, got an answer the second time stating he wasn't in the office yet. Received a call back from him, and he stated there was an extension that was filed on our behalf. He then sent initial draft, multiple items were wrong, we emailed him back the changes and the document that was requested. May 2nd - we had to follow up again asking when we will see an updated draft. Also asked why there were late fees associated if the extension was filed. May 3rd - Received an updated draft, did not get acknowledgment on why we were assessed a late fee. May 4th - Told him the draft was good and to file it. No response. May 9th - Had to ask him if our return was filed. May 10th - Finally got the vouchers for making the payment. Had to pay a late fee for taxes we were told had an extension filed??? I am beside myself the amount of work we had to put in just to get answers on what was happening on the service we hired this CPA to handle. Disappointed is an understatement. I'll use TurboTax next year and actually have them filed on time, with less effort! read more

I cant believe this guy was recommended by someone I trust, I'm new to Texas, didnt know anyone and needed a tax person. I have nothing complicated at all, last year I did Intuit and it was great, should've known better. All he did was a two page 1040 and he had the nerve to charge me 525.00 dollars. Im 60 years old and have never paid anything close to that, not even close. what a rip off, I spoke with him initially and that was the only contact I had, I sent him several emails and left him a couple of voicemails as I had some questions, He NEVER responded. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire this person. read more

Ok, 2021 should have been a warning, but if Stacy A had a family issue. That understandable had to file an extension. But for 2022 to be a complete disaster. I reach to her a six weeks prior letting know my taxes for 2022 should be crazy easy as I made little to no money do my wife illness. She assured it not an issue she could get it done on time. So I sent all the information she needed. Did not hear from her. Day before tax day, I emailed her to see if she was filing an extension with no response. I finally called the office and found out she was on vacation. The office did call me back to let me know some filed the extension. Even after calling the office and emailing her. No response (3.8 months) until 10 days ago. basely saying my tax are done. They normally charge $450 but would only charge $250 and my return was $165. I too was lead down a path of a good company that was not interested in the little guy. Would not recommend David's Kesel CPA to due taxes for my dog now. They need to take customer service training course. read more

I am looking forward to hiring Mr. Kesey to help me with my taxes and some other things. I appreciate all the help I have received from him.

David Kesel operates a top-notch accounting firm and is always quick with answers to tax or accounting questions. I've been using him for my business and personal accounting needs for several years since moving to the DFW area. I highly recommend Dave and his team of outstanding professionals. read more

Unless you make it clear that you are going to bring him big business, you won't get a return correspondance from him. Tried for a couple days to just get a yeh or nay on some business I wanted to do with him, but nothing. I can only assume there wasn't enough coin in it for him, so the policy is to ignore it until it goes away. I cannot comment on the quality of his work to actual clients, so my review is based soley on my experience with simply trying to make business contact with the firm. read more

Having decided to take personal and business taxes to a CPA for the first time I'm glad we did. David made us feel comfortable off the bat, had an active ear, and provided us with great feedback for future tax references. Highly recommend him, I think we found our new CPA. read more

You can get better service from the H&R Block people at Walmart! Mr. Kesel was not my regular accountant; rather he acquired the firm that I had used for years. Naturally I rolled my personal taxes over to him as he already had all of my records. I was impressed with his professionalism him for years. Always had the professional courtesy to respond to my emails and answer my questions. I recently came into a problem with the IRS regarding unpaid payroll taxes. I gave Mr. Kesel POA and for several months he was working to get the issue resolved. Several months ago he stopped responding to my emails, left three or four voice mails and he didn't bother to return any of my calls. So now I am left with dealing with the IRS myself, with no clue where he left off with the agent. Then appx. three weeks ago, I get a notice from the IRS stating that my 2013 taxes that were filled did not match their records. Once again, I reached out to Mr. Kesel and was surprised he responded (maybe because I copied everyone in his office that I had an email address for). Long story made short, it's been several weeks and now four emails to him trying to find out the status of the incorrect return and guess what NO RESPONSE. There is nothing more unprofessional than an accountant who handles your financial records to not even have the decency to return calls or respond to emails. One who has no consideration with the sense of urgency to get issues resolved. Guess he's not the one who is accruing penalties and interest, so what does he care. read more
