She's incredibly intuitive and found every single knot/sore spot in my body. Her pressure was also perfect - I love deep tissue but she knew exactly when to ease off so it didn't become unbearable at any point. It's rare that a therapist could deliver such a perfect massage that I have zero feedback. Since returning to LA, I've been on the hunt for a therapist who is as skilled as Ashley but no one even comes close. Portland, you are lucky!

The third time I went Frances was not available but I trusted/hoped I would have a similar experience with a different massage therapist. Sadly, I had the most disappointing massage of my life. Not only did I not experience any pain relief, I had increased pain for the next 5 to 7 days. I would say your overall experience will depend on your massage therapist. 2 other issues to be aware of One is the difficulty in parking. You will need to allow extra time to potentially drive in circles trying to find a spot and then may have to walk multiple blocks to get to the address. The other is that most of the massage rooms are upstairs This could be an issue for those with pain.

Went in today for a massage with Terril. Upon walking in, I was warmly greeted by the front desk…read morestaff. They were friendly but not in that fake way that you see in a lot of the surface industry. I was offered a choice between tea and water and was given my paperwork to fill out. My facial with Terril was very relaxing. We went into the treatment room and discuss what my concerns were with my skin and what I was hoping to get out of my appointment. Terril was very attentive, asking questions along the way. One thing I really liked was that the table was heated because I've been having some issues with my back that make it uncomfortable to lay down so having that heated surface under my back made my appointment even more relaxing. My skin felt amazing when she was done, even though she had to do a few extractions. I was so pleased that I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for a few months out so that my skin will be able to recover from the upcoming summer months. I highly recommend checking out this wonderful little spa and I look forward to returning for my next facial.

They were attentive, professional, and made sure I was completely comfortable the whole time. By the end, I felt completely euphoric -- almost like I could have drifted off to sleep right there. The massages and therapists are high quality. However, there are serious issues with the membership…read moreand billing practices. When you sign up for a subscription online, you must be able to cancel it online. Requiring customers to call and submit written notice creates unnecessary barriers and is inconsistent with the Federal Trade Commission's "click-to-cancel" rule under the Negative Option Rule. In addition, requiring a 30-day notice period results in customers being charged for an additional month even after requesting cancellation. Further, although customers have already paid for services--including those accrued during the notice period--those services are subject to a 90-day expiration. After that, they are forfeited with no refund or extension. Similar practices involving expiring paid credits have been challenged in cases involving companies such as Audible. These policies raise significant consumer protection concerns and should be reviewed.

It's been a few days since my massage with therapist Theo and I am still sore, which is a good thing! I specifically asked for deep tissue pressure and they absolutely provided it. There are many add-ons to your massage, should you like them, from cupping to scalp focus, plus more. I will be back to work on the lower half of my body since we decided to focus on my upper the last visit. I didn't feel pressured to buy into the gift cards or membership the way other reviewers mentioned. The staff persons I chatted with were both welcoming and warmhearted.

My husband and I were so impressed with the experience: we brought a little picnic and the two hours were perhaps the most relaxing of the year as a windy winter storm raged outside of the cozy little enclosure. Since our soak, we have loved this place even more since following them on social media: we love their commitment to speaking out about the issues we care about, even at the risk of folks who have never visited trolling their reviews. Don't believe the negative stuff: this place is a true gem of an experience and worth your $$!
