My husband and I were…read moreunfortunately one of those couples who had to have our wedding date postponed due to the pandemic, so our original photographer we locked in had a change of plans and moved out of state. We had no idea where to start in searching for a new photographer. We knew we had a budget (which he worked with us on), but also wanted someone who produced quality professional work and especially someone who energy-matched with our personalities and our expectations. My husband and I have huge families of Filipinos and Hispanics, so you can imagine the patience a photographer would need to work with the many different/strong personalities and all the necessary corralling. Thankfully, a friend of mine suggested Mark. Mark specializes in fashion photography so his style is a bit different from the typical "airy" and "whimsical" look you would find in most engagement/wedding photos. He captures the drama, the humor and the essence he can pull from whoever he is shooting. This worked great for us because: 1) my husband and I are not into modeling and 2) we didn't want to shoot photos that magnified how uncomfortable we could be with different poses. Mark shot both our engagement and wedding photos and our experience working with him beyond our expectations. He even suggested what we should wear for our engagement photos, which was great! In our intro call, we talked about mine and Alberto's personalities, a little bit about our history and what we were looking for in a photographer. He was super helpful in suggesting the outfits and locking in the locations he thought worked best for us. On our wedding day, he and Miles (one of his photographer partners) were super easy to work with. They both made it seamless during the day and flexed with our schedules. We sent them a list of shots we wanted and just let him decide when to shoot what and be creative on his own terms. It worked out great! We just got our wedding photos completed a few weeks ago and I can't even decide what to post online or pick for our thank you cards, because they're all so good! If you're looking for someone easy (and fun!) to work with, but will also take the stress off your planning with his own creativity, Mark is your guy. Your photos will capture you and your significant other in a way YOU want portrayed. You won't be disappointed!

When we met the group at The Great Bridal Expo, we were impressed with their portfolio and with how many people were gathered around their booth. We mentioned where our wedding was, and Van grabbed one of their albums to show us exactly what we could look forward to since they had worked a wedding at our venue in the past. He quickly gained my trust with his knowledge of the area. Shortly after attending the Bridal Fair, I contacted Michael's Wedding Group to ask some more questions. Sue responded to my email within hours of sending it! She really is great at communicating with their clients. Although I do love to look at beautiful engagement photos, I didn't want our session to be by that one tree at that one park. I imagined something different and more fun. We originally chose to have our engagement session at The Color Factory, but we weren't able to get tickets to any of the slots. We did, however, manage to snag some tickets for the first week that The Museum of Ice Cream opened in San Francisco. Sue was very patient as we tried to coordinate all of our schedules while we tried to get the super coveted tickets to MOIC. Michael met us at the Museum of Ice Cream and we had the best engagement session I could imagine! It resulted in a lot of awesome pictures, delicious treats, and we felt really comfortable while having our pictures taken at a public place with lots of people watching. Van and Israel were our photographers on our wedding day. I sent them an extensive list of must-have photos before our big day, and they were able to capture everything and more! Van was very efficient and has a great eye. Israel was our second photographer and helped make sure the lighting was just right. My entire bridal party was comfortable with them as they captured special moments throughout the day. Something I really appreciate when it comes to vendors is how real they are. It's nice to talk to vendors who genuinely make a connection as someone who wants the best result for you, and not just someone you're hiring. All of our encounters with the group reflect this- both in person and online. You should be comfortable with everything regarding your wedding. Michael's Wedding Group is easy to talk to, they're very friendly, they know what they're doing, and they are definitely the way to go for your big day!

He showed us some of the samples they had done through out the years and it looked awesome. We did not only wanted someone who can take good photos but also someone that knows the etiquette of our culture. We went with Michael's Wedding Group and requested that Van to be our main photographer on the wedding day. We took our engagement photos a couple months after hiring them and Michael and Sean was our photographer for the shoot. The pictures came out beautifully and we knew that our wedding day was going to be better. Our wedding day consisted of Van and Sean as our main photographers. They were with us the whole time from the early morning to the tea ceremony, the actual ceremony and at the reception. Van was too cool! We was speaking Vietnamese to my family since some of the older folks didn't understand English well. He knew the etiquette of the culture and executed it really well. Sean was also all over the place doing his thing and taking pictures. We received our final photos two months after our wedding day. Sean edited them and they turned out great. The price we paid was reasonable compared to other photographers that my wife and I met with. It's the quality of their work, service and price that makes this a 5 star review. "It was a pleasure working with you guys and thank you!"

We needed a photographer that was familiar with City Hall and searched online until we found Daniel. We knew he was the right fit when we saw this work and got to exchange a few emails. He was so easy to work with and just understood what we wanted. Daniel was very flexible and adaptable. He was truly tested when found out there was news conference at the foot of the stairs as well as rain, both threw a wrench in our plans but we worked with what we had and it was lovely. We got our photos quickly too. Our friends and family gushed over our photos, they could not believe we found such a good photographer in such a short period of time. I would absolutely recommend Daniel.

We found Daniel here on Yelp and we went with him over the other photographers because he was easy to get in touch with, nice in person, and we likes his portfolio. When we met him we saw him for the nice and fun guy that he is. It was important for us to feel like we're dealing with a person instead of a stiff robot (if that makes sense). On the wedding day, he was awesome! He directed us very well and even took some specific shots for us. He even put up with all the family and friend pictures after the ceremony haha! We had some issues of losing light (winter marriage) and he decided to take some more pictures at the church before we headed off to the reception area and this turned out to be a GREATA decision since it was very dark soon. Had we waited, those ceremony pictures would have been dark. He had worked at our venue before, so he knew his way around the place and did his thing. I focused on enjoying the moment and making sure my new bride was happy, and Daniel took care of the awesome pictures. We got back all the pictures within a month and my wife went back and forth with him over email to pick some photos to touch up and to re-edit. In the end we were SUPER HAPPY and i would recommend Daniel Hon to anyone. I might recommend against winter weddings though =P unless you give yourself more time to take great pictures with the daylight. THANK YOU DANIEL!

The style was very fresh and the photos looked more like memories frozen in time. We took a card and continued the search for a few more months and each time we saw a new photographer, we compared them to Zha Photo. And they all lost. Come the day of our wedding, Michael and his assistant were everywhere and no where all at the same time. They seemed to capture every moment, but no one really remembers them being there. They floated around and got fantastic photos of the wedding, the reception, dancing, cake cutting, everything, and I can honestly say I noticed them maybe twice. During the wedding parties' photos, Michael was very good with all of us with the laughing and afterglow of just being married. Out in the garden at Hakone Gardens, his eye was fantastic, and the photos are exceptional. I am thrilled that were found Zha Photo and that they were able to come and take photos of our wodnerful day.

I can confidently say that Eric has improved between the time of our engagement shoot to our wedding day. Aside from the quality of his work, he was great with our bridal party and clicked well with family and guests. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to click with your photographer on a personal/friend level because if you do, you will be much more relaxed and your photos will capture the goofiness and fun that your wedding day is. His second shooters were also amazing to work with and all great people. We could have gone with other photographers who were more "well-known" and paid a couple of thousand dollars more, but we're so glad we went with Eric and got our perfect wedding photos! Two of my bridesmaids have already said that they would want to use his photography services for their future weddings, and I can't wait for more engagements to happen so that I can refer Eric to them :)
