He did not check with his bank in advance and therefore made the closing appointment on the very hour (2pm) that wire transfers were cutoff for the weekend. After not receiving our wire transfer hours after the closing, I phoned Mr. McPherson that evening and asked what had happened. He blamed the mistake on the bank. He refused to accept responsibility for his mistake. He refused to say he was sorry. And he had not even tried to call us to admit that although the buyers had our house, we did not have payment for it. So on Monday I called to speak to the head of the firm and the office manager, Sheila, told me that she is the one to speak to about all issues. I told her what happened and that I wanted the head of the firm to know about this and she said someone would call me back to apologize and of course no one did.
