He showed me no calculations for allocation of child support and alimony and was largely absent in the process. I was under duress during mediation due to an injury that occured the night before. He allowed the mediation to go on for over 12 hours and recommended I give my ex-wife my house with a 2.85% mortgage, my truck, $6000 per month in child support and alimony event though I have my kids 50% of the time and I paid off all her debt. This put me on a path that has caused immense emotional and physical stress. Don't risk it.

And with her not willing to save our union, she left me no other choice than petition for divorce. My assigned attorney Keith Johnson and his assistant Crystal Aparicio, in a sympathetic tone explained to me that despite my feelings, this needed to be treated as a business transaction with my interest taking precedent. The result was a final divorce decree that took place faster than the minimum 30-days; my pension left untouched, and stipulation that I could live with. Yes, that whole time felt like a living hell, but the staff at the firm were always available to contact and made the whole process as smooth as possible. I would never recommend needing a divorce attorney, but if there is no other choice - please contact these folks. They provide a degree of light during a dark time in life, and I thank them.

She was extremely responsive, gave me sound and practical advice, and helped me make decisions during a time when it wasn't always easy to know what the right decision was. When I was unsure of myself, she advocated for me and made sure I understood my options without ever making me feel pressured. She also went beyond just handling the legal side of things. She connected me with helpful resources for things like home appraisals and refinancing, which made navigating the divorce much easier. Most importantly, I trusted her judgment. I felt that she understood what mattered to me and genuinely represented my interests throughout the process. Divorce is not something I would wish on anyone, but if you find yourself needing an attorney to help you through one, I would absolutely recommend her.

I hired Mary Bevan to represent me during my divorce. While she initially presented a positive…read moreoutlook and said she would advocate for a fair outcome, the reality was far different. Her communication throughout the process was minimal, and during mediation, she admitted to taking her sick child to daycare, which I feel motivated her to finish fast that day. She encouraged me to accept an extremely one-sided settlement: minimal child support and alimony, no back pay, and no share of funds my ex withdrew from our accounts or retirement. Despite having strong evidence (including video of infidelity), she repeatedly dismissed its relevance and downplayed my concerns. She also failed to properly investigate significant financial discrepancies--over $60,000 in unexplained income on my ex's bank statements. I left mediation feeling blindsided, unsupported, and trapped. I called immediately afterward trying to withdraw my consent to the agreement, but was told I could not. Looking back, I wish I had a stronger advocate--someone who understood my situation and fought for a truly fair outcome. I do not recommend her to others going through divorce, especially if you're in a vulnerable financial or emotional position.

I explained my situation and decided to hire him. I didn't have the money yet but I called back a month later when I did to pay him and proceed with the help I needed. I was not allowed to talk to him without paying $75, so I just told the receptionist I'd pay the $1000 retainer plus $179 for the filing fee and he could call me for the details needed to file my "lift of stay" so we could evict some people that have been squatting in one of our properties for 8 months now. It took a week and a half for anyone from his office to call me. When he finally did, he was very apologetic and restored my faith in him and his firm. I was told we had to give the other party 30 days to object to our filing. I waited and found at the 30 day mark that they had filed what I paid for but then immediately withdrew it and did nothing for me. I lost 30 days and $1179 on a very important transaction in which we stand to lose about $200,000 in equity if we don't complete the proper legal steps to evict the people squatting in our home. I spoke to Jeremy after the other party's attorney told me what was on record at the court (nothing) and he was confused and said he'd look into it. His partner Ryan is the one that was supposed to complete the filing. I gave him 2 weeks to look into it and emailed to find out what resolution he had come to. No response. I waited another week and emailed again, still nothing. So basically, I paid $1179 and lost a month for absolutely nothing and this firm is unwilling to make any of it right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Please explain why you did that? How can we resolve this amicably? Thank you, Jeremy" That's the amount of respect they have for someone writing reviews? Oh and the good news is that they had contracted at 25% discount as I found their firm through an Employee Assistance Program, and well, they charged me the full amount of fees. Again, I recommend going to someone else somewhere else. They have no respect for their clients and even the disgruntled clients don't even get any attention regarding a horrible experience.
