As one who is a novice but feels peaceful and creative when having a chance to make or learn more about art I was very excited about the opportunity to have someone beside me while painting. Julianna has a beautiful gallery for inspiration, a studio to create, and the sweetest dog--Luna to nudge your creative spirit forward. This opportunity was outstanding with Julianna's warmth, encouragement, knowledge of acrylic painting techniques, and use of creating multiple pieces at one time. I learned so much with her, know that I can replicate the process at home, felt like I walked away with a new friend, and have three pieces ready to frame. I highly recommend Julianna as an art coach and one who takes great pride in the artists exhibited in her gallery. I plan on utilizing her talent online in the future so I can grow my skills as an abstract painter. This is definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

You will not find a harder working agent in this industry who not only will take your call at 10pm at night, but who also will be working on the weekends to get your picture out there!! I've known Cindy for over 10 years and the jobs just keep coming in!! She is simply AMAZING! Cindy is truly one of the last few agents who will stand behind her talent and fight for fair rates and not try to undercut the price just to get the job. She's absolutely fearless!! That's what I love so much about about Cindy!! Not to mention her sweet demeanor and caring ways that are such a rarity in this business!! And trust me, I speak from experience with having been represented by some of the top LA agents. Cindy has never asked me or any of my friends to take pictures or do anything that would cost us money out of our own pocket. Those are things that you will find with LA agents, but definitely not Cindy. I can't say enough great things about Cindy and how wonderful she is! It's been a privilege to be with her agency and a blessing to be working at the level I am for all these years!!

Cindy's job is to put you in a position to book the work and that often requires a out of pocket expense like booking a photographer for pictures. She is wonderful at getting talent the opportunity to work. SHE does not make the desition as to who books the job. The client does that. So if you think simply because you had to pay for material for your child that you automatically get work.... hello... sorry it doesn't work like that. Cindy is the best there is at get you the OPPORTUNITY to book work. If you or your child didn't book work well then you didn't have the "right stuff". Sorry that's just the simple truth. Cindy rocks! Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't get it. She's 5 stars and then some.

I refused to join the DBA for years because it had a reputation as the "Desert Boozers…read moreAssociation." It was a bunch of middle-aged to older white guys who just wanted to get together and suck on cocktails once a month. In addition, it was trying to be very politically connected. Yuck, yuck, and yuck. Not terribly "business' oriented frankly. What a difference a few years makes. Over the past 6-7 years the association has taken a complete 180 and proven itself as a professional and formidable leader in the business community. Not only is the DBA for LGBT business people but it's for EVERYONE. And, everyone participates. With a membership of about 250, a typical, twice-monthly reception and mixer draws a minimum of 80 people in the summer and up to 130 in season--no other business association in the valley can claim that kind of participation ratio by its' members, period. The mixers are fun, lively, inclusive and a lot of business actually gets done. Most members have on-going, tangible success stories about building relationships and earning business. The DBA is ideal for any LGBT-friendly business person who is tired of the same "good old white boys club" chambers where people are shoving cards in your face and not really connecting. AND, every board member (straight/gay/women/men) actively and consistently participates & connects (or they won't last on the board). For $150 a year, there is no better networking investment available at this price. BUT it doesn't work unless you work it! Two thumbs up!
