**EDIT** Upon…read morenotification of the care my son received, Owner (Dr. Kevin Resh) and Office Manager (Ms. Victoria "Vicki" Swope) launched an investigation into the situation. Dr. Resh reached out to discuss everything with us. He took responsibility for the level of care my son received at Hanover Dental Care, and has taken steps to help alleviate the burden our family has faced due to this unfortunate situation. While I still am frustrated that our family has had to face significant struggles to get my son back to proper oral health, I am forever thankful that Dr. Resh treated us with respect, and ensured that the situation was taken care of. The office has assured me that steps will be taken to ensure this type of failure never happens again. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Hanover Dental Care neglected to provide adequate preventative and diagnostic care for my 6.5 year old son over the course of the past three years. Despite coming in every 6 months for preventative dental care, per the recommendations of the American Dental Association ... and per the coverage allowance of our dental insurance, my son was neglected, and left without proper dental treatments. Hanover Dental Care's complete disregard for my son's oral health led to an emergency visit with a pediatric dentist, who then urgently referred us to an oral surgeon, who IMMEDIATELY scheduled my son for a sedated surgical extraction of three baby teeth that were left to rot and decay in his mouth. Due to this office's complete and utter neglect in the diagnosis of several large cavities, and the lack of appropriate treatment of those cavities, we are now paying thousands of dollars out of pocket, and are forced to schedule our son for multiple sedation dentistry treatments in order to preserve his teeth.

I was a patient at Werleman & Associates for six years, and here is a summary of my experience…read more The "spa" experience: At my new patient visit, I was extremely excited to be a patient here with their "spa experience" sales pitch. As far as the "spa" went, the dental chairs were massage chairs. This was enjoyable while I waited to be seen by the doctor, but nothing else felt "spa" like to me after that initial visit. Only one other occasion was I given a massage chair experience, and that was given during a filling. I had to ask them to turn it off because it was uncomfortable to have a drill in my mouth and the chair shaking my entire body. The staff: Although I was a patient of Dr. Werleman, I was seen by several other doctors. I was never seen by the same doctor twice, so I feel as though they have a high turnover for employees. Dr. Werleman seems to make it a priority to teach the hygienists as much as possible. This is great, except for the fact that I had uncertified hygienists doing the fillings on my teeth. A couple years later, I have recently had another dentist redo them because they were so poorly done. Procedure: Two years ago, Werleman (or one of the hygienists) performed a filling that was between two molars. At the last cleaning, they told me it needed to be redone. My question: Is it your product or your service that isn't guaranteed? I received no answer and decided to get a second opinion because I didn't feel it was fair to pay again for their mistake. In addition to that experience in particular, every cleaning appointment led to the need for more work (fillings, need braces, whitening, etc.). It seemed there was always a problem with my teeth, and I feel the need to state that I do take care of my teeth, brushing and flossing daily. After my unpleasant experiences, I chose a provider who was out-of-network that I went to in my youth. As a former college student thousands of dollars in debt, I don't regret transferring care at all. At my first cleaning, the dentist shook his head in disappointment and disbelief as he checked the work done by Werleman's office. The filling mentioned above that needed to be redone was slicing my gum open every time I brushed my teeth (Werleman explained the bleeding was my fault for not flossing correctly). He also discovered that Werleman never performed panoramic x-rays, which should have been done to check on my back molars that underwent surgery 10 years ago. In conclusion, my ultimate opinion is that this office looks to make as much money as possible. I have heard that others enjoy this office and find it pleasant, but I would not recommend this office to anyone after my person experiences and money spent for terrible services.

**0/10 - Do NOT recommend Aspen Dental**…read more My partial denture (for 2 of my front teeth) broke unexpectedly on April 17. I was desperate, so I searched for places offering fast repairs and found Aspen Dental, who advertised same-day service and an onsite lab. I booked an appointment for the next morning (Good Friday), noting clearly that I needed a replacement partial. When I arrived, the dentist barely acknowledged my actual reason for being there and focused on unrelated procedures. When I pushed back and asked about quick options, she became visibly annoyed. When she finally said they could try to fix my old denture, I agreed--only for her to laugh, rip it from my hand, and say sarcastically, "Oh, now you want to go with that option." When I said I didn't understand the attitude, she snapped, "We're a general dentist and I don't know what you expect from us," and walked out. In tears, I was pulled into the manager's office, where I was quoted $86 for a repair. Moments later, they said the tech couldn't repair it, and I ended up paying $400 for a new one. I was promised a 1-week pickup time but wasn't allowed to pick it up early even though it was done. When I finally got it, it didn't fit right. I was told I just "had to get used to it." The denture made my bite worse--I couldn't chew and my front teeth hit the plate. I had to wait nearly two weeks for an adjustment appointment. By then, a bottom tooth had chipped from the denture's poor fit. The lab tech dismissed my concerns, shaved the wrong part of the denture, and made the fit even worse. At that point, I gave up. I left feeling completely disregarded and decided to go elsewhere for proper care--even if it means wasting $400. To make matters worse, my husband called to speak to a manager as soon as I got home because I was clearly upset. They left him on hold until 5:00 PM (closing time), then sent him to voicemail. The staff that day did not want to deal with it. I was in a vulnerable position and needed compassion and care. Instead, I was met with sarcasm, indifference, and incompetence. Aspen Dental showed me that profits come before patients. If you have other options--please take them. You will regret going to Aspen.
