The main reason for this is that it gives you a totally honest and unbiased MOT check as it doesn't do any repairs to your car, so they have no reason to fail you just to get you to buy parts off them and pay for labour etc that you don't need. Also the lady who works there is great, really friendly and chatty. They have a nice little waiting room with a telly, tea and coffee machine and lots of magazines to keep you occupied while they MOT your car. I have found that on the occasions I have been, the waiting time has been quite long, so you are best dropping your car off, leaving it with them and picking it up later when its all done. The price does seems a tad on the expensive side to me, its about £50, but I suppose you are paying for the peace of mind that you will get an honest MOT. You also get a free retest if your car only requires a minor part to pass, such as new tyre etc. Think you have to pay a bit more to retest if it needs more major work doing and checking again. All in all, would highly recommend.
