The grilled chicken was seasoned nicely, and those little pops of cranberry added a nice sweetness. But the apple slices were tired, bless their heart--soft and browning like they'd been sittin' out at the church potluck a little too long. What really left a sour taste, though, wasn't the fruit--it was the service. When I politely asked the young man at the counter about the price, he snapped, "It's gone up," and just walked away. No "I'm sorry," no smile, not even a nod. That kind of rudeness don't sit well with me. So here's the bottom line: Tractors has potential, and that salad could've been a winner with fresh ingredients and a little Southern hospitality. But no matter how good the food is, if the service leaves you feeling unwelcome, it's hard to come back.
