Wonderful experience with Chefs Marianela and Alex for my whole family. The food was incredible, large serving sizes, and they even did all the dishes and neatly stored leftovers for us! They went the extra mile to make sure our dietary / allergy needs were met. Highly recommend for a special experience.

Oh my gosh! Chef Chava and Christian were amazing! We had 3 dinners over the coarse of 10 days in Akumal and they did NOT disappoint. We are still full from our last dinner and are heart broken not to have stollen them to the States and had them with us to cook forever. Our dinners were delicious and over the top. Chicken/mushroom with chipotle cream sauce was my favorite, the kids LOVED the coconut shrimp, and my daughter loved the poblano peppers with cream. So good, professional and they cleaned everything up when finished. I would highly recommend them and Chef Daveed for gifting them to us. Best Chef choice in the YucatĂĄn

We had the pleasure of having Salvadore as our chef for a week while visiting Akumal! He was not only an excellent chef, but a joy to be around. Kind, respectful and prepared delicious food!! We can't wait to return and use Daveeds chef services again!

Our fabulous meal from Chef Daveed!

Hiring Daveed for an in-home dinner was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Playa Del Carmen! He offered a splendid selection of authentic Mexican cuisine that we could pick and choose from and was more than happy to accommodate for the various dietary needs in our group. Two chefs working for Daveed (Salvador and Alba) came to our rental and cooked up the most delicious meal we had all trip. The food was fresh, the flavors were fantastic, and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. They even brought in containers to leave us with the leftovers, and they left the kitchen sparkling clean. Thank you Salvador, Alba, and Daveed for such a memorable evening and delectable meal. I absolutely recommend Daveed for a 10/10 private chef experience!

I couldn't recommend Daveed Chef Service more. We were celebrating my bachelorette party with 9 people in an Airbnb in Tulum and Chef Aydee and David were incredible. They were so fast and efficient, and the food was amazing - we even ate the leftovers for breakfast. Every small detail was perfectly executed. They also made us a pitcher of margaritas to start. The kitchen was left cleaner than when they got there, the whole process was like a well oiled machine. Everything leftover was wrapped up perfectly. I 100% recommend and hope to experience this again when I return to Tulum.

Chef Daveed made our ENTIRE trip amazing! He was a great communicator, a true professional and he cared deeply about providing the best customer service possible. His team was professional and kind every step of the way, and the food was MIND BLOWING! The private dinner by Chef Daveed was THE best meal we had during our entire trip. The shrimps still dance around in my dreams from time to time. Additionally, Daveed was kind enough to make our crazy idea a reality for our bride to be during our trip. Daveed worked with us for weeks to make sure that everything was perfect - and it was! Our bride to be was beside herself when a very talented, professional and sexy dancer (LEO) surprised her dressed as her dream man, Shang, the love interest from Mulan! Daveed spent weeks working with his team on the costume, and countless other details to make our trip beyond perfect!

The crew!

If you are in Tulum and need chef services for your stay, please look up Daveed's Personal Chef service! We had dinner on the first night of our stay and then brunch/breakfast for each additional day! The chef staff was timely, extremely courteous, and brought incredible authentic Mexican dishes mixed with a fusion of other more familiar breakfast items. While everything was amazing, some of my favorite menu items were the garlic butter bass, breakfast potato wedges, carnitas and the flautas. We were served mimosas, coffee, and a variety of fresh fruits and fruit juices. The kitchen was always spotless when they left! By day 5, these guys were family! Please do not hesitate to book them!

Family vacation (party of 12) in Tulum for our daughters special birthday. We used Daveed Chef services for a dinner cooking class, Mezcal tasting, beautiful gourmet breakfast and and amazing 2nd dinner where Esmeralda and Allan cooked our freshly caught Wahoo fish. Every dish was incredibly delicious, extremely fresh and in abundance. They took such personal care when presenting every dish and literally left the kitchen and eating space cleaner than how they found it. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful job Esmeralda and Allan did. We highly recommend their services and specifically Esmeralda and Allan.

I've enjoyed Chef Daveed service several times and highly recommend. Luis and Alejandro gave us excellent service all week in Soliman Bay. They worked with my team gathering for a work trip to ensure the breakfast, lunch and dinner times met our needs. They also had the perfect amount of food, which was amazing. Incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. They also were very helpful with small grocery requests and a few items we needed. We never left the house except for one meal in Tulum and they recommended the best restaurant experience I've had here yet. They even made the best birthday cake happen and helped us find fresh flowers! Great service and we'll worth the effort to book them. Also incredibly easy to pay the bill online.

My friends and I were celebrating a marriage and a proposal in Tulum, and thought having a private

I emailed Chef Luis to get a quote and was sent an extensive and affordable menu to choose from (lots of great choices) This is what we decided on: Starters: Beef flour empanadas Fresh fish ceviche with coconut and mango Sikil pak Main course: Rib eye with garlic butter Cochinita pibil tacos Lobster (extra $ but well worth it) Sides: Grilled corn with chipotle dressing Rice and beans Asparagus with bacon and honey Dessert Season fruit sautéed in mezcal with ice cream Everything was very tasty and delicious, but my favorites were the rib eye, lobster, and ceviche, and i also noticed Chef Luis threw in some potatoes too! Thank you Chef! Overall Chef Luis was very responsive/communicative and professional the whole time, He picked up all fresh ingredients, utilized the kitchen as well as the outdoor grill and made the whole house smelling delightful, and he even cleaned up afterwards and packed up our leftovers to store in the fridge :) it definitely was one of my favorite activities that my friends and I shared while we were in Tulum. I highly recommend Chef Luis, friendly and talented Chef!

The flavors alone earn a solid five stars, but this chef earns even more. Josafat is not only a
read moreculinary genius, but also ranks among some of the most personable customer service we've ever received. Based on a local recommendation, we hired Josafat to cater a small island wedding of 20 guests, and the recommendation could not have been more perfect. His rates were unbelievably reasonable, especially for our five-course seafood dinner, complete with freshly-made mojitos and margaritas. Every ingredient was freshly purchased that morning, and sliced, diced and prepared before our eyes. Each course tasted even better than the last, and was by far the best seafood we had during our two-week stay on Isla Mujeres. Our guests remarked they could have easily filled up on just the irresistible appetizers. Even our two vegan guests raved over their individual avocado salads. The wait staff Josafat brought with him were attentive and upbeat and set all of our guests at ease. Josafat was prompt in all communication, offered to meet with us the day before the wedding to go over all details and even provided chairs, tables and linens for a small fee. He offered additional services and details for our event (more drink options, chair covers and decor etc), which we turned down to save on cost; he provided them anyway at no charge. Josafat goes above and beyond in service and in culinary passion and is worth every penny! We are normally a frugal couple on vacations, but we already plan to book Josafat for a private dinner for our next visit to Isla Mujeres.

Mendieta's is a 10-star caterer, but since Yelp will only let me post 5 stars, this will have to
read moredo. I recently took my entire family to Mexico for me and my husband's wedding, and 22 of us stayed in a beautiful villa and had Mendieta's recommended to us for catering Thanksgiving dinner. Our concierge gave us a list of 3-4 catered, but highly recommended Mendieta's, so we booked them. I had no idea just how big of a treat it would be to have Chef Maria, her husband and her team prepare our holiday dinner. I thought it would just be the food but it was so much more! They brought beautiful, Mexican table decor and place settings to make the dinner feel like a lush event. The details were everything! I also gave them a list of food allergies/restrictions and I was so glad that they happily accommodated all of them! And the food still tasted amazing! Now, on to the food -- simply incredible and delicious! They prepared it at our villa (it 'took them only 2 hours to get food on the table, which is amazing for the number of people we had!). We had their Real Mexican menu, which was family style, and included elote (corn), braised beef tacos, fish and rice, guacamole, salsas, and several other items that tasted delicious! A big plus for me was how pleasant and loving Chef Maria and the entire Mendieta's team was. They served us dinner, poured the wine we bought at the local store (all throughout the night), and gave us shots to celebrate the festive occasion! They also arranged the dining room tables and used tables from other parts of the house to set everything up so that all 22 of us could eat together. Man, what a treat! Their pricing is SO reasonable, and they also have menus for kids, as well as discounted prices of the adult menu for children. I'm OVER THE MOON with them and will definitely be back to have them cater our next trip to Mexico! Last thing - Chef Maria helped me pick the menu and was so lovely in all of our texts to help me mommy arrange everything and get the final details done. That was a huge relief since our wedding was that same weekend and my head couldn't take anymore planning! They worked so hard and were such great people...I couldn't have asked for more. My friends who stopped by for dinner said it was their favorite part of the entire trip - other than our wedding. Thank you Mendieta's!!!

They set up the table beautifully as if Four Seasons was hosting Cinco de Mayo. Lastly, the Mexican/Romanian couple is charming and interesting. They are simply delightful. An experience we will never forget and will seek to repeat when we return to Cancun.

Great experience last Friday night at this Michinlin Bib restaurant. So glad I stopped by this
read moreplace is bomb and super not pretentious! Wish I got the tasting menu but I opted for 3 of the specialties instead and they were delicious... Tasting menu is best value tho! I got the raw trout sashimi thing and it was by far the best plate of the meal (first dish/appetizer) , then got the shrimp flautas (good not amazing) then I got the trout loin for the entree (good not amazing) Skinny marg was perfect and so was the waitress! Would recommend and go back but like I said I would for sure do with the 6 or 8 course tasting menu!

Okay, where do I start
read more I made a reservation about a month before our trip, they were already pretty booked so I made a 4:45pm. I somehow missed that the coursed meal doesn't start until 6...and we didn't realize until same day. They couldn't rebook us until 9PM but told us to swing by early to see if they could get us in AND THEY DID. It was a Christmas miracle. And I'm glad they did because the whole experience was about 2.5 hours from start to finish. The place isn't very big, but is beautiful inside. They have an awesome bar and and open kitchen so you can see everything. It's a really neat place. We were seated pretty quick once they got the table cleaned, and then were greeted by our waitress. When we told her we were there for the 8 course meal, they switched waiters on us, and then the upselling started. Right off the bat they tried to talk us into a cocktail...when we were doing a pairing with our meal. It took them a little time to get the meal going, and then between courses was a little hit or miss. Sometimes it was free flowing and sometimes it took 10-15 minutes to get our next dish. The food. We were a little nervous we would leave still a little hungry but I assure you, you will not. For ~$100USD each, you get so much food, and a drink with every course. It was fantastic and so worth it. Here were the courses and pairings (that I can remember lol): 1. We started with the dips - a bean dip with cheese sauce and guacamole with crickets. Very classic, very well done. The crickets added a nice, nutty flavor. I was a huge fan of the beans with their blue corn tostadas, so much flavor. They also had a third dip that was pumpkin seed based, it was good but not as memorable. Their hot sauces came out with this course. It was paired with a house mezcal (with salts, cucumber, and orange) that was incredible and smooth. 2. Shrimp ceviche which was super refreshing and flavorful. They paired this with sparkling wine. 3. Sea bass with a cream sauce and grapefruit. I'm not a huge fishy flavor person - my first bite had all three compnents and I thought it was delicious. My husband just had fish as his first bite and thought it a little fishy, but once we added everything else he agreed it was great. Three small pieces, so it was a nice course. Paired with a sauv blanc. 4. Roasted tomatoes in a mole sauce. A nice veggie course. I thought they were cooked well, nothing super fancy. Paired with a Chardonnay. 5. Cooked shrimp with potatoes. My husband called this a "filler" course - there wasn't much to it. The sauce had some greens in it but it was just something light and easy to serve. Can't remember the pairing here. 6. THE CARROTS. MY FAV THING. OMG. Literally so fresh, the perfect texture, and the sauces. I could have eated a whole bowl with this one. Paired it with a red blend. 7. Cow tongue. I forgot a photo. I was starting to get drunk, I'm sorry. Paired with a red wine. This was tender, the sauce was delicious. If you're not used to beef tongue, please don't let it scare you. It was amazing. 8. Dessert. Also amazing. I think it was paired with a sweet red but....a little drunk here...we got a cheesecake which was more on the savory side, super unique, and so delicious. I was a huge fan. We also got a passion fruit custard and I'm a SUCKER for passion fruit. This was phenomenal. The food was INCREDIBLE. And such an amazing experience. And now the loss of a star. I hit on the service a little, but there was also some upselling which we don't love, especially at what is supposed to be michelin recognized. We often try Michelin recognized when we travel and the upselling was unexpected, I undertsand the culture down here, but still. ALSO we LOVED the house mezcal so much we asked for another shot ($280 pesos/shot). When we got the bill, the waiter upcharged to one of the most expensive mezcals on their menu ($520 pesos/shot) and refused to change it. We spent $60 on two shots after paying for our 8-course meal. It honestly was SUCH a dissapointing end to our meal and felt so icky. Be very careful with the service here.

Someone else in my party ordered the octopus which I'm told tasted very good. One of the few restaurants that had a range of desserts. They had chocolate cake, flan and tres leches. His care and attention really heightened the whole evening for us. Before our main course, we were surprised with a complementary appetizer dish that was out of this world! It came with small empanadas, sopes, fresco cheese with beet jelly, garlic butter, nut bread, orange with worm salt, and a tomato cream cheese spread. I honestly couldn't believe all of that was on the house. For our main dishes, we ordered the Chile en Nogada and the Metztli. Neither disappointed!
