However Dr. Wilson said no replacement retainer was necessary as my son is ready for Phase II braces and at the next scheduled appointment in few months we could discuss new braces. I really appreciate Dr. Wilson's honesty when he could have said a new retainer was a must even for just three months, we would have followed his instructions, and he could have had the $145. My son is happy to have a break from his retainer and he is looking forward to continuing his braces treatment with Dr. Wilson!

He's genuine, thorough, and truly goes the extra mile to take care of his patients. I had braces for 3.5 years when I was in high school, and my previous orthodontist didn't take near the care that Dr. Wells provides, and his staff are equally as perfect as he is! Their office is conveniently located off Six Forks near 440 and is open Mon-Thurs 8-5 (though Dr. Wells is on-call all the time for emergencies). The office is new, modern, and very clean- they provide Keurig coffee & fruit infused water in the waiting area. They have a 3D panoramic x-ray in office so you don't have to get that done elsewhere. My favorite part about the office is the amazingly beautiful saltwater tank in the middle of the treatment area! I started receiving treatment in October 2014, and the workup was more thorough than I could have ever imagined! Dr. Wells focuses on aligning your jaw to fix your teeth, not just fixing gaps in your teeth. It's made such a difference in my bite, which I didn't even realize I had an issue with. Though I still have braces, I get them off in a few months.. and I must admit I'm really looking forward to the song they all sing when their patients get their braces off :) All in all, I couldn't say enough positive things about Dr. Wells and his staff... when it comes to patient care, they go above and beyond. Our initial experience wasn't great, getting the first visit scheduled took forever. That should have been my clue. Every appointment since has been very difficult to schedule. When my child is due to be seen, they have one appointment to offer. If that doesn't work, they will suggest something two weeks later. Well that adds two weeks to the treatment time - nobody wants that! Their appointments are only available between 8:20 and 3:20 (and I don't believe they are open on Fridays), so your child will always miss school for this (and you will miss work). Maybe this is a small sacrifice to make, but I wish I had known before we started here or I would likely have gone elsewhere.

He said...when you grow up, if your husband wants you to have straight teeth then you can get braces. In other words, he wasn't interested in paying for them. Back then...it was also assumed I wouldn't have a formal education... But, I digress. This year my decision to seek out information about wearing braces led me to Dr. Goeckner at Goeckner & Gibbons Orthodontics in Wilson, NC. It's a 30 minute drive, but I decided to go up and discuss it with Dr. Goeckner because she was easy to speak with over the phone. The office reminded me very much of New England in the 1970s. Not a lot of flashy stuff, just solid wood, and comfort. Cleanliness, and great manners. My kind of place and the price was budget friendly too! I decided to go with Invisalign's and I was very happy I did! I'm only into my ninth week and I'm already seeing some improvement in my bite, and in my smile!!! I can remove them to eat, and brush my teeth. They are not painful to wear, but if there is any discomfort an Advil does the trick. I highly recommend Goeckner & Gibbons Orthodontics, for these reasons. The staff is so professional, kind and helpful, and the doctors, dental technicians and nurses are first class all the way. You WILL not be sorry made this important decision, and even at 64 and a half, I'm thrilled already with it!!!
