I found it…read morea little strange that a speciality beer store was hosting a horror street festival but didn't investigate further. I finally got around to visiting the shop itself and it alllll came together: it's a tastefully horror nerdy beer shop with all the fixings. I love it- everything about this store reflects the unique personality and passion of the owners. Honesty, I'm so impressed with the variety of speciality beer, spirits, wines and ciders. In fact, it's overwhelming. Also, as an occasional teetotaler their selection of alcohol free drinks was amazing. More and more brands are developing interesting booze-free alternatives and this place has a great variety. While I didn't buy a ton on the booze front today I epically indulged in their snack selection- the salmon jerky and chorizo were both great. I'm also really impressed with their extensive hot sauce wall. Overall, a great place to indulge and definitely a great spot for gifts for foodie friends.

For a store sitting in a nondescript town of around 1,800 folks, the beer selection is nothing short of outstanding. As much Dogfishhead 120 minute as you desire? Check. That I've-been-looking-for-ten-years-for Goose Island Bourbon County vintage? Check. The best doppelbock on the planet? Check. A great selection of local beers? Check. A great selection of interesting singles sitting against the wall? Check. Gluten-free beers, for those that need it? Check. Barleywine-style beers? Check. The only knock on the place is that they have an empty Pliny the Elder bottle sitting out, and every time I see it I think it's full and I can buy it. But that's nothing, really. Others in the group liked their swisslike cheese and softer one with some vegetable ash that was a bit ripe for my taste. Being direct to customers it's around the same price as super market cheese and WAY better. Worth going out of your way on the way back from MTL if you're in upstate NY. The olive bread in stock is really well done and even the sparkling juice was really tasty. We got an apple blend (grapefruit I'm tempted to say?) and it was a delicious treat for the ride back.
