Honest, Fast, and Outstanding Communication! After having my HDD crash and taking with it a bucket load of data it was a refreshing experience to deal with such a great company. Data Detect were honest about the likelihood of recovery and turned around a super quick quote for the repair. They communicated in easy terms what was going on and talked through some options and ways to prevent this in future. In my case my HDD was not cost effective to recover the data so I will just take the lesson on the chin this time! Quote was provided free of charge and they even mailed the drive back out to me for free - Seriously, where do you find that anymore! Note: (just in case you are wondering) I do not work work for or am affiliated with this company in any way - infact my wife dropped the drive off and I have only emailed and spoken on the phone with them. My hard drive crashed - a hard drive failure, not a virus. And I hadn't backed up for a long time. Data detect knows what they are doing, solid professionals. They had good customer service, were cordial to work with. They were upfront about their fees, and only charged if they could recover the data. So you knew going into it what it would cost you, and if it was worth spending the money. read more

My second time using this firm for data recovery. I have a second 5 star experience to report. An external drive failed and I sent it in. This time they had to get parts to replace the damaged heads. After parts were replaced, we got back more than 99% of the data that was on the drive. Very happy with the result. All in with the recovery fee, parts and replacement drive. read more

Most of the files on my hard drive became corrupted, and I could not open them. I tried to transfer them to my laptop, but it didn't work. After an evaluation, they guaranteed they would restore most of my files. Within a week, they informed me that I could check the recovered data online. 98% of the files were recovered. Great service!
