Am I surprised that this is the only review I'm doing in Germany that has zero reviews? NO! This place is in the middle of nowhere. Literally.
We walked about 2.5 hours in the German mountains to come to this biergarten. By the time we got there, we were ready to do some serious drinking!
I went with a group of 14 people, me of course being the only American and non fluent German speaker. While my German is acceptable, the waitress was really mean to me and rolling her eyes. Like... I was kinda offended. Let's see how you do if you come to America! I mentioned it to my friend and she told me not to feel bad, that apparently she acting kinda mean to everyone at the table.
I had a few beers, which were wonderful. And I had the Schnitzelteller which really actually reminded me of the chicken my mom makes. It was alright but nothing too special. The desserts here are crazy huge. If you don't want dessert here you can always go outside they have an outdoor area that sells ice cream cones and.... MORE BEER!
Was it worth the 2.5 hour hike in the mountains? Well... no. Not really. But the beautiful views and scenery more than made up for it. read more
