The ambience was fine, and the service was quick and friendly, but the food was pretty gross. I ordered the schnitzel with vegetables and boiled potatoes, and the vegetables were clearly from a frozen bag of "mixed vegetables" that were cooked beyond all recognition. I couldn't get through more than the initial forkful.
My vegetarian wife was counting on the "Gemüsepfanne" (vegetable pan), but they had apparently run out (at 6 PM on a Tuesday), so instead she suffered through a sweet tomato soup and a salad of iceberg lettuce smothered in creamy dressing.
As we were leaving the acrid smell of burnt food escaped from the kitchen and filled the dining room. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.
On the plus side, they have a private parking lot, so our getaway was quick and easy. read more
