The interior is cozy and has a pub-like feel to it, without being too loud or smoky (in the non-smoking area). I will add that the bread has room for improvement, just in case the owner reads this (it falls apart too easily), but nevertheless we have certainly found our new favorite restaurant in the 16th district.

The bar service was good but the waitress service was very bad - I understand it was busy but there was definitely no need for the waitress to literally elbow and push people out of the way. I have heard that Shebeen does the best burgers in town...I think I will make a second trip to test them. But definitely not on a pub quiz night.

There is a big screen, a couple screens really with the other game on the smaller one. The beer was cold, the waitress was sweet and Arsenal won. I give it 4 stars because there was nothing negative. Next time I'd love to try the food though. Menu looked good!

Having your breakfast/brunch at Franz is such a great way to start your day!…read moreOn the weekend, they propose a breakfast all-you-can-eat that will make your stomach sooo happy! There isn't as much choice as in some brunch-buffets in Vienna, but it is very appetizing and tasty, and for a very fair price too! (10,90€) If you go for the breakfast formula, you'll be able to choose on a list what you wish to have for breakfast, and cross in front of it. Good news: you can fill as many lists as you want, and order over and over again! (except for the fresh fruit juice: it's only one per person). You can get muesli or fruits in yogurt, different sorts of breads, cheese, marmalade, butter, honey, and lots of eggs meals freshly cooked! and as much hot drinks (teas or coffees) as you want. They also have a regular menu that sounds very good, in a true Austrian tradition! All in all, a very nice Austrian Beisl where you will be sure to spend a relaxed and tasty moment!

TL;DR - Great bar, great food and helpful staff…read more We had our first meal in Vienna here and were glad we did. It was close to our hotel and we took the crowd of people outside as a good sign. There's a smoking room which meant we could enjoy our meal without being bothered by smoke. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful and the second she realised we were English she produced English menus and began talking us through all the options. I went for Wiener Schnitzel, Sparky went for Goulash which - on her recommendation - came "Viennese style" with the dumplings cut into slices and with a side of sausage and a fried egg. We each had a pint of weißbier to round things off. Great beer, great food and a great atmosphere with helpful staff.

On the day that I checked out this new Lokal in Vienna, it was a warm, sunny afternoon so drinks were in order. How awesome they have Hendrick's gin & tonic - what more could anyone want on a summer-like day? Well actually we did want something more when we saw that they also had Olmeca Altos tequila on the Getränkekarte. Shots of tequila were for sure what the doctor ordered!!!! Hey, The Room in Vienna's Landstrasse is def worth checking out for some serious drinks! I think you will like it .......
