I have to say that this is the most unprofessional place I've ever been to. I had called to see if I can purchase a new nose ring because mine had fell out the night before. The guy on the phone had told me that there is a piercer there that can do it. So I took the chance and went there to have them put a new one in, turns out the girl that was there was an apprentice.... I had asked her how many piercings she has done and she stated " I've only done one. It was on my mom" well yes I am all for people learning but I am also offer having someone professional standing there with them to make sure that they're doing what they need to do, she was all alone and nobody there to guide her. And my nose, I had told her I had a stud, and she had tried to shove a hoop in my nose, which had caused my nose to bleed profusely and caused my nose loads of irritation. I had ended up leaving with the nose ring because they already touched it on my skin and I paid $20 for it for a piece of metal and with my nose, gushing blood, and no new nose ring in my nose. I had left because I was getting frustrated and she had another person that she needed to do after me and she was rushing through telling me that there's nothing she could do for me and there was no one there to help her so when I had left, I called another tattoo shop and I had went in there and they were able to clean up my nose and put a new stud in for me like I originally wanted so then that tattoo shop had told me that I should call and talk to the owner about the situation, so I had did that right after I left, and that same apprentice answered the phone and told me rudely that he wasn't there and that she could take my information and he would call me that same day. I've waited yesterday and no call. I had called this morning and she had answered again. I'd asked her if Jeremy the owner was available or anybody in charge that I could speak to and she hung up in my face. I tried calling back numerous of times and it just kept going back to voicemail. This is the most unprofessional thing that I have ever gone through and obviously she knows that she messed up that's why she's running and not facing what I wanna say. I am absolutely 100% disgusted with their customer service and I do not recommend coming here. read more

As a tattoo artist, you should be a variety of things: Consistent Nice Sanitary Professional God artistic ability. (FYI: $300.00 tattoo, after a $100.00 deposit, and a $60.00 tip. 3hrs just 1st session. Outlined first. Then was going to come in for a 2nd session for shading and detail.) TATTOO ARTIST OFFERED FREE TOUCH UP (Considering his previous work - on me. I don't trust he'll fix it, and I wouldn't want him to touch me with a pencil after I saw his work heal!) I don't understand the inconsistency of my artist work. I was welcomed well, felt comfortable and secure that he knew what he was doing. The place was clean, welcoming and the other staff was friendly and professional and accommodating. His area was tidy, organized and professional. He began the tattoo with one needle the changed it - mumbled something under his breath about the needle change and never stated anything to me about his decision. I'm not a professional tattoo artist so I trusted his judgement. I sat through it well he started from the right and gradually. He asked me how I was doing throughout the tattoo process w I had to change my shirt once because of my hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis is defined as a non physiological and excessive amount of sweat produced by the body. It can be a generalized situation where excessive sweating appears all over the body or focused hyperhidrosis where the excessive sweating is specifically in areas such as the hands, palms, armpits, feet or the face. Mine are on my armpits, feet, palms, and back of my knees. He never stated it was a issue and even gave me paper towels and was professional and understanding. I have another thighs tattoo that had 5 yrs ago that took well, I nerer sweat on my thighs so that can't be the reason. He asked prior to my tattoo being applied if I have any skin conditions and I told him the latter. At the end I had two breaks, three in total one to get water and change my shirt and try and the end due to pain to take a breather. I have a high tolerance of pain. But it was getting tender but that's to be expected. As I came home, I washed it when he told me 2hrs after with anti- bacteria Dial unscented soap. I took care of it applied the $10.00 ointment my husband bought at the shop. I have taken sponge baths for the last 13 days I'm a person that has OCD and worries that things have to be done properly until the finished product. I haven't soaked it exposed it to sunlight, havent wore tight pants I even went as far as to sleep in pantyhose so it could A. Breathe and heal. 2. Not get dirty or exposed to any harm throughout the night. As it healed I noticed the inconsistent line work. Ridiculous. Some areas are like a thin Sharpie marker, but some look like I have had it for 110 years! Pissed. Unless I've gotten it done in two different parallel universes at the same time through worm hole. The evidence to me and friends and family say it looks like dog . Very much unhappy. Why. I'll provide pictures below. Had a tattoo done and they did a good job but after a few months it needed some touch ups. The artist that did the work had moved to a different studio and Dark Lotus refused to perform the touch ups. They were pretty rude about the whole thing. Was expecting a more professional experience and was disappointed in how they handled it. Maybe i just them on the wrong day. Do your research before committing. read more

They were very nice here, but the work was the worst I've ever had and I'm so upset. They just added a simple letter J to my flowers, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. It has raised scar tissue, blurry lines, and missing spots. I don't have any raised tattoos, so idk if he went too deep or what the problem is, but I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what can be done. read more

Booked there, was excited to get my tattoo after hearing from multiple people that it was a sketchy place to go, I should have listened. My artist had to cancel for personal reasons, I respect that and I asked for my deposit back. After a month, no deposit. I almost called and then decided no, these are busy people, they'll get too it, you're not desperate for money and you don't wanna annoy them. It went on the back burner for a few months as I got busy with my life and I was told they would take care of it. I was checking my bank account and realised that it was still missing. I don't bother people for money, I have enough respect for people that I hope they know when they owe me, and I guess that trusting a business to be responsible for their own finances was a terrible mistake, so I finally caved in and called them. I understand that I should have called but I am a simple customer and they are supposed to be a business, I was rejected, immediately, no "I'll see what I can do" nothing. Just no. Ok so I have come to the conclusion that I was lucky for my tattoo turning out as good as it did. I walked in and a guy immediately came over to help and we got the design figured out - I just got a sentence, no artwork. It was a quick process but looking at my tattoo (not even a week later), some of the letters look shaky and uneven and some of the letters look blown out..... It could have been wayyyy worse but dang... they can't even write a sentence correctly. Also, he showed me his portfolio and it looked like a child drew the tattoos. Anyways.. want my advice? I first met Jeremy when I walked in and he had a sudden cancellation. I wanted to get spider tattooed above the web on my elbow. He drew up a really cool one really fast and we started on it right away. We started talking and he put me right at ease. I'd never been that at ease with a new artist that fast before. When we were done, it turned out better than I was expecting and to top it off, my Mother proclaimed it the most "eccentric" of all of my tattoos, LOL! Since then, Jeremy has kept up with me on FB and been very supportive of my wife and I during the adoption of our daughter. I've been to the Liberty location a year or two ago and it was very nice and professional. I got my Monroe pierced by a larger guy who was very nice and helpful offering if I need help changing jewelry later to come in, just if I was worrying about it, and gave information on how to clean it. Last night I came to get my medusa done and the service wasn't as great as last time. When my mother and I came in (I'm a minor) the guy who helped us fill out the forms was friendly, but the piercer I got wasn't so nice. He was very rude to my mom when she held out her hand for me to hold it, telling her how she is not allowed to touch me while I'm being pierced. Once he explained why, if she were to jerk, it made sense, but could of been SO much nicer than he was practically acting so superior to us being extremely rude. Finally getting pierced (I have been pierced many times), he was extremely slow. Faster the better, for I don't have much of a pain tolerance. There were no clamps and it was so slow, it was pretty painful since I sat there and felt him slowly go through my skin, as opposed to breathe in-breathe out-done. When having to put the ball on, he dropped it 2 or 3 times having to open new packages each time, but I don't have a problem with that, just an unsteady arm. I asked for him to pierce it low, but getting home and eating later realizing the hole on the inside of my mouth is extremely low where it keeps getting caught under my teeth.. where I hope later will be fixed if I get a shorter barbell. When telling me how to clean it, he told me NO sea salt soaks and NO dial soap.. (when I was here before for my monroe, they had told me to use dial soap which of course worked, because like I said, I've been pierced before, I've had my piercings healed correctly). He told me I have to buy saline solution, which is fine too, but practically being scolded for asking about sea salt soaks and dial when I already know how to clean was kind of.. unneeded. But they could still disagree, it's a matter of preference I'd say. All in all, I know they are good guys here with a good rep, my experience last night wasn't the greatest. Maybe I caught him on a rough night? Any way, I haven't made up my mind if I will be coming back just about the way he treated my mom and I. read more
