A bright, inviting space right in the heart of downtown Littleton

I recently came to Daphne's after watching their progress on social media for quite some time. I love that this husband/wife duo is revitalizing a whole corner of downtown with some much needed businesses! Parking was a breeze even on a Saturday morning of a holiday weekend. There's street parking out front or a huge lot across the street. We were lucky to beat the crowd when we first got there, but it filled up really quickly after we ordered. I love how they've decorated the inside, and there's a good amount of seating for the space. Everything in the pastry cabinet looked delicious, so we ordered just about one of everything. My favorites were the blondie and the Reese's cookie, but really you can't go wrong. You can tell they are homemade and honestly some of the best cookies I've had in a while (and they are HUGE). I also ordered an iced vanilla latte with 2% milk which was perfect and not too sweet. I didn't see if they have any milk alternatives, and they didn't have any tea options like chai for those that aren't big coffee fans. I really appreciate that they use cups made with recycled material and their straws are actually made from pasta to cut on waste! It's the little things sometimes. I'm so grateful this shop is here for weekends at Lake Gaston, and I can't wait to check out Blue Jay Bistro once they open a couple doors down (also owned by the same sweet couple)!

Stumbled upon Daphne's during our week in on the lake and so glad we did! Very quaint coffee shop on the Main Street of Littleton. It is very small so I took my order to go. I ordered an iced coffee the first day and it was great I came back a few times during the week! They also have a large assortment of pastries. Bonus there's a wine shop connected to the coffee shop! Would recommend if you're in the area and want some small town coffee shop vibes.

Boxed so pretty!

The baristas -- alongside with owner Jason Shearin, who were working throughout this morning's rush -- had an incredibly welcoming and charming disposition and there's nothing I love more than supporting a locally-owned small business that truly takes pride in their craft. I ordered a caramel macchiato (w/extra shot), a rare choice as I'm extremely weary of sweet coffee drinks. But I had confidence this was the kind of place to venture out of my comfort zone and I was not disappointed. The latte was incredibly balanced, full-bodied without a trace of bitterness, and I even noticed that the caffeine buzz was suspiciously smooth. I felt really awake after not sleeping well without an elevated heart rate, which is super notable for me because my adhd medication can make espresso feel like a jagerbomb if I'm not careful. I also had a turkey sausage breakfast wrap which didn't seem to look like much when I first saw it but was genuinely one of the best darn breakfast wraps I've ever had -- when the ingredients are high quality enough, you don't need many additions. Can't wait to return before I head out of town!

Firstly, I was struck by the rustic…read morecountry farmhouse painted butter yellow and sprawling porch decked out with country décor, bistro seating and beautiful flowers in bright pots! Secondly, upon entering I was greeted by some friendly folks that treated us like family. The cozy ambiance embraced us as we took a table by the window. It smelled liked fresh baked goodies in there! We ordered sweet tea and lemonade and while we waited the few short minutes for our food, we enjoying reading the cute signage through the restaurant. Even the necessary room was decorated with cool country knick-knacks. Thirdly, our meals were amazing! Hubby chose the bologna burger, a country favorite, with onions and peppers with a side of beets. I opted for the roast turkey, cranberry and Gouda grilled on sourdough bread with a spicy Dijon mustard, with a side a pineapple cole slaw! Oh man, that's some good eatin' right there! Best slaw I've ever had! Fourthly, the homemade desserts will bring tears to your eyes, they are soooo good! We got three of those HUGE chocolate chip cookies, that are more like a pie! (We took those to a friend's house for later!) Then we shared a vanilla cupcake frosted with strawberry icing and filled with strawberry jam. It was to die for! I'd go back just for the cupcakes!! Seriously, eat here! Fifthly, this comfy, charming restaurant is clean, warm, and welcoming and serves tasty, hearty meals at fair, reasonable prices! For these 5 reasons, The Kitchen Table deserves 5 stars!
