I first saw Dr. Obeid in July 2022 due to a problem with my left lung. Before I went to see him he asked me to do a cat scan of my lungs which I happily did. The day I saw him a woman did some breathing tests and Dr. Obeid said that he didn't think my problem was my lungs, but it was my stomach. He sent me to a gastro friend and he gave me medication and said if I didn't feel better he would do a endoscopy. In the meantime I had another cat scan done and went to see his PA Anne Brenner who is closer to my home in Palm Coast. She set me up for a pet scan and said after that they would do a biopsy of a 5 m nodule of my left lung, but didn't explain that if I didn't do the pet scan I could not have the biopsy done. I called her 3 times to discuss, but she never called me back. A few days later a lady called me and told me Ms. Brenner's office was being refurbished so I would have to go back to see Dr. Obeid. So I set up the pet scan and the biopsy and the final diagnosis was benign pulmonary tissue with chronic inflammation, fibrosis and reactive cellular changes which I understand means scar tissue on your lungs. In the meantime I cancelled the endoscopy since my stomach was better. A couple of months ago I printed out the cat scans and pet scans I had done since when you go to the office they only show you a picture of the lung which a lay person would never understand. To my total and complete shock the cat scans said I had significant coronary artery atherosclerotic calcifications. I wonder why no one ever told me about the pulmonary disease of artery calcifications. The last time I went back to see Dr. Obeid I saw a very nasty PA who worked for him. She asked me why I didn't go for the endoscopy and I told her the doctor gave me medication and my stomach was much better. She asked me what was the name of the medication. I told her it started with the letters pan and I couldn't remember the rest. She than told me I had a 1.1 c nodule on my right lung. She said to go for another cat scan and go back in 6 months and if I got sick in the meantime to go to the hospital and also once again refused to give me medication and offered to sell me sleep apnea medication. That is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor's office and will never go back again. It's hard enough to be elderly and sick and be treated like a second class citizen. read more
