I regret our decision to work with this company!…read more They were going door to door in our neighborhood offering trimming, removal, etc with "same day clean-up". We had a portion of our tree that we needed removed, and so we asked for that service. Thought it would be a quick and reasonably priced job, but that was not the case. They got to our house rather quickly after the initial contact. The project manager, Corey, looked at our tree and expressed concern and the need to remove the entire tree! He pointed out a split down the trunk of the tree. Right away, he went into fear tactics- "You could damage your car, neighbor's car, take power out for the entire block, do you have kids? What if it fell on them while playing?"... the whole situation gave me a ton of anxiety, and we felt very pressured. We said yes, and within seconds they were cutting the tree down. No explanation as to effects on the lawn and/or explanations of safety as they were working, etc. It just didn't feel very professional. It seemed to be more about speed and getting as many projects done in our area as possible within the day. They did a nice job removing the large maple tree- the power lines and our home were not damaged. This is the only reason why I am giving them 2 stars rather than 1. However, I cannot say the same for our lawn. It would be difficult not to damage the lawn due to this kind of job, however, they didn't properly fill in the holes and tracks left afterwards. Someone quickly threw some soil and seed on a few of the damage spots. When I noticed they "tried" to fix about half of the spots, I asked if they planned to fix the rest, and then they seemed more inclined to come back rather than just doing so in the first place. Even after another go at quickly trying to fix the damage, spots were still left. Our yard looks like a battle zone! When the tree did come down, the risk of the split did not seem as significant as they imposed for the sale- I mean, life and death scenarios were discussed. There was definitely a split but not something that HAD to be handled in that moment.. which would have allowed us to shop around accordingly. The tree didn't split even when it fell to the ground. That circumstance also added to our feelings of being taken advantage of by this company. Clean up was also delayed by 2 days rather than same day like it was originally sold. When the job was done they told us clean up would be delayed rather than before they started? Many other costumers in our area were let down by this as well. Many costumers were not told clean up would be delayed, and when trying to reach out to the company about when pick up would happen, no one at the office got back to them within 24 hours. After some more research, I found the price for the job was very high compared to other companies. I spoke with Corey, and he did get back to me. He explained that the job was fair in terms of what they charge, but he can't speak to what other companies charge. He offered to send contacts of other customers who had a similar job to our tree to make us feel more assured. It has been a week and I still haven't gotten that information. When we need tree services in the future we will not be using this company.

They also scheduled an appointment to cut down my neighbors tree so when they were there I told them to go ahead on mine. One of the main trunks was over an electrical line.
