Great leadership. Frank is an arborist. In fact the reason I know he's honest, is initially had hired him to cut down three trees at my elderly parents house. It would've been a $6000 job. He talked me out of it because the trees were in good condition and did not need to be cut. Now, that's honesty! But guess who I called when I needed my two jobs done? That's right these folks! The tree work, as usual, was very well done. I have always been pleased with their tree work with the exception (on their prior job) of the sawdust that they failed to blow off the gravel walkway before rains forced it down into the gravel where it cannot be removed. They work safely and well in performing proper tree removal and pruning. However, I was surprised to see they were using tracked equipment through the lawn and drainage swale to access the debris pile for removal of the debris they agreed to remove. I was shocked to see the damage to the lawn area, the swale, and the tree roots that they dug up with this equipment. My husband and I were also disappointed that much of the "seasoned hardwood firewood" they agreed to deliver was wet, muddy and host to fungus when it was delivered. In addition, their crew removed part of the driveway timber edging to get their truck closer to the garage when it would have been just as easy to move some of the stored materials to the other side of the driveway to provide for access for their vehicle. Moving and resetting the timber edging resulted in damage to the asphalt driveway edge since the timbers were just yanked out and stomped back in. Neither the driveway nor the timbers are as they were prior to this and I would never have agreed to this if they had bothered to ask me. I requested they and I discuss a fair way to correct the damages and deficiencies when weather permits this Spring but have not gotten any response. I would not hire them again.

The results were perfect! Before the work began, the trees were growing toward the porch of my cabin, leaving almost no view of the mountains. After the job was complete, I had a stunning view of 3 gorgeous mountains! The crew hauled away all of the debris and cleaned up the site. Three of the stumps were overturned trees from the storms that came through a couple of months ago. One of those stumps that was toppled was 6ft high. Kevin had to cut the tree trunk off the stump and pull the stump back over into the ground then grind it. There was also about 20ft of tree trunk that he cut into 18" sections and put in my neighbors wood pile. Kevin is a true profession and worked into the evening to finish the job. Besides the great reviews I saw online, he is a Marine. Being a Marine myself, I knew he would do a great job as that is what Marines do. I was not disappointed. I would hire Chomper's Stump Grinding again in a heartbeat.
