Great for teens interested in open basketball. Wish there were more time slots for the basketball courts on weekends and non school hours.

Clean, kind staff, plenty of lanes to lap swim and they don't close down lanes regularly!

This review is only for the bars at Starlight Motor Inn, as I have not stayed in the motel/inn. The…read moreBurgundy Lounge is the upstairs bar inside the motel, and the pool bar is an outdoor bar inside a large building by the pool. The bars host live music and events, and I believe you may be able to rent them as venues- including the pool for pool parties. Pool passes are also available for those who want to swim or go to the pool without staying at the motel. Both of the bars have similar menus for cocktails, and the bartenders can also make you anything you want. They also have a few mocktails and NA options as well as sodas/tea/etc for the kids. Megan is one of the bartenders there, and she is wonderful. I had a blueberry cocktail that was flavorful, sweet, and strong. The cocktail prices (~$12) are reasonable for quality drinks and a few dollars cheaper than downtown. The bars, pool, and motel are all retro and make you feel like you're back in the 1970s. I haven't stayed in the motel and cannot rate that, but I have been inside a room, and it had a retro feel and is very clean. It is a motel so the doors face the parking lot, but everything feels very safe and the motel room prices are reasonable too.

Staff was super friendly and responsive. There are several amazing businesses in walking distance: Herbert's Vintage for matcha/coffee, Rebel Taqueria, and King BBQ. Spot has an amazing bar/lounge connected that has the BEST staff. Neighborhood is still up and coming but this place is a gem!

Well staffed. Very attentive lifeguards. Not terribly crowded. I had my own swim lane.read more

There's so much to love about the pool at the town of Mount Pleasant's R.L. Jones Center …read more.. there's ample parking ... two locker rooms ... six showers and plenty of toilets (which is always a good thing); however, the main attraction for me is the Power Aquatics Program offered Monday - Saturday at 10:00 AM. Amy (Mon., Wed., Fri.) and Diane (Tues., Thurs., Sat.), the instructors, are proficient and engaging. Each workout is different and often incorporate a 'tool of the trade' such as noodles, kickboards and dumbbells. The pool is well-maintained and though classes are large, there is always plenty of room for kicks and punches in all directions! I found participants to be welcoming to a newbie like me. Many of us started the program following replacement and/or repair surgeries where PT left off. I attribute my increased range of left arm/shoulder motion, strength in my right (totally replaced) knee, as well as improved balance to my aquatic workouts ... the water is so forgiving. Classes can be purchased as a series of five ($25.00) or ten ($50.00) and must be used within three or six months, respectively ... the first class is free. The neat thing about this feature is that classes can be taken at either Jones or the pool in Park West. Power Aquatics has become a priority for me. Try it ... you'll be hooked!
