He thoroughly explained what was happening with my eyes and walked me through the next steps with patience and professionalism. Although I was nervous about having eye surgery, the outcome has been incredible. After wearing distance glasses for over 15 years, I no longer need them! Dr. Yu truly gave me my vision and quality of life back. I would also like to commend the entire staff. Everyone is professional, accommodating, and efficient. When I made the appointment they ask you what the appointment is for and I again said it's the pressure and eye puffs. They take my insurance and when I got there, they proceeded to put me through numerous tests before I even got to see the doctor. These were vision tests!!! When i saw the doctor, she told me my vision was fine. I know that. And then referred me to another doctor saying they could help me with my eye issue, that I came to her for! I could have skipped her tests, that just left me with a bill. I think this place is catering to insurance and not really the patient. I wouldn't suggest going here if you are a minority. I felt like I was just put through the works, and I still am searching for a doctor that can actually help. And, The referral they gave me was more of the same. He wanted to do in the room surgery, and not address my real issue. The pressure!! It was very frustrating. If anything the feedback I have heard about myself is that I'm too nice. So when one of their staff members yelled and hung up on me I was shocked. I called to speak with any doctor so they could know what their staff was doing and the doctors are not interested. They know exactly what's going on. If you make an appointment ask yourself 2 things: 1. why is there a security door that is completely opaque? This time he totally changed his story, stating that because of the condition of my eye, my only option would be to use his $3000 laser to correct my cataract. After my 2nd consultation Dr Rosenthal had the gall to contact me via again and tried to use his high pressure tactics to peddle his $3000 plus advanced package in spite of the fact that I told him I was not interested. I had a disappointing experience at Eye Care Unlimited on Crosby Avenue in the Bronx…read more I ordered polarized sunglasses with dark gray lenses, but when I picked them up, the lenses were not what I ordered. They appeared brown instead of dark gray, and the left lens was noticeably blurry. When I brought this to the clerk's attention, I was told to wear the glasses for two weeks to "get used to them." I explained that I wasn't comfortable doing that because the left lens was blurry and requested that the lenses be remade. Instead of addressing my concerns, the clerk insisted that I see the doctor again to review my prescription, even though I had my eye exam only 10 days earlier. I declined because I didn't believe another exam was necessary. The clerk then became rude and told me he was going to make a note on my account that I "refused to see the doctor." He also warned me that I would not be allowed to have the lenses changed again. I found this response unprofessional and felt that I was being pressured rather than helped. To the store's credit, the issue with the glasses was eventually resolved. The replacement lenses were the correct dark gray color, and the left lens was no longer blurry. However, I told the clerk that I felt he owed me an apology for the way he had treated me during the process. He refused to apologize. While I appreciate that the glasses were ultimately corrected, the poor customer service and lack of professionalism made what should have been a simple warranty correction into a frustrating experience. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously and treats future customers with greater courtesy and respect.
