Good doctor. Fit me in when I was running late. Cares about his patients and would recommend.

I have been working with Family Counseling Associates for the past two years, first for family…read moretherapy which helped us to communicate more effectively and allow for everyone to be heard. Dr. Katzman made our family stronger than ever. She took the time to listed to each of us and provide us each the support we need through the discussions. I more recently started meeting with Sophia Nazzarro for one on one therapy and I have never been happier. I look forward to our sessions and she helps me work through different professional as well as personal challenges. My family, friends, husband and colleagues have noticed a difference. I am a type A person and having someone to talk with is extremely helpful, and I am SO SO Thankful for meeting Sophia!!!

My actual therapist would get 5 stars. The therapist I saw was good. I look forward to our next…read morevisit. The woman working the desk, however, is horrible. She made me feel like an intrusion, assumed I had had counseling before, and was very rude. She just looked at me when I approached the desk. Finally I had to ask if I was in the right spot. "Well who are you here to see? Do you have an appointment?" "Yes, with Diana Lavancher." "Well what do you want?" "Um...to check in?" "Whats your name?" After I announced my name to her and the stranger sitting close by (HIPPA!!!), she said "well you don't check in here, 'you people' (she said that!) just go straight over there!" She pointed somewhat in the direction of Diana's office door and then stood up, pushed her chair out with her knees and walked away. I should think you would have someone with the slightest degree of sensitivity and certainly a drop of courtesy and politeness representing a place that deals with people who obviously have a need for neutral, objective understanding. She is, without a doubt, the exact reciprocal and perhaps could use a little counseling herself on how to address people in general more kindly, but particularly in this type of setting! Does she know I was coming in for therapy because of some devastating tragedy or severe depression or any number of symptoms that warrant me coming there in the first place? I had anxiety about my 1st ever therapy session in my life, I was there for a reason, and because of her, I almost ran out the door. If Diana hadn't opened her door and greeted me warmly, that's exactly what I would have done. She does not belong in a patient care environment.

I'm honestly not someone who usually writes reviews, but my experience with Marisa has been so…read moreimpactful that I felt like I had to share. I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. If she doesn't have an answer right away, she always follows up, whether by email or the next time you see her, which says so much about the level of thought and attention she gives. I don't feel comfortable around many people, but there's something about her energy that is so light and reassuring. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment, and it makes all the difference. I'm so grateful to have found her and truly can't recommend her enough.

Truly the best. One of a kind. I am so glad to have found Healing Point Therapeutic. I highly…read morerecommend the hypnoaccupuncture and also the intuitive readings. Top notch. Marisa is wonderful in all ways. The office and treatment rooms are also healing.

It's truly a dirty dusty dump with really unhealthy bad high sodium, give ya the shits or constipation food. I'm on a special diet and my family members would bring me food and I was denied access to it. The staff members stole the food because I never got it when I left. I also almost never got all my bath and beauty products back...they were not packed with my belongings. When I went to retrieve them, I was treated like nothing but a pain in the ass. While a patient there, I had to poop on my 3rd day finally...the bathroom in my room was occupied by my room mate and the staff would NOT allow me to use the staff bathroom...again treating me like a second class citizen...trash. I didn't poop that day. when I left here, I had blood in me feces for days due to inflammation in my digestive tract from not having access to the foods my body needs. When I met with the main "doctor" here, he stated that the human body does not have an endocannabinoid system (idiot) and he stated the cannabis is destroying the healthcare system....he's an idiot obviously. I have been diagnosed a drug addict for medicating my spinal disease with a plant instead of pain pills. What destroyed the healthcare system is all the idiots who didn't get their covid vaccines inundating the hospitals and dying due to their misinformation. COVID destroyed the healthcare system, not marijuana. dumb ass...he is an ignorant sorry excuse for a doctor.
