Our experience with RRA was absolutely dreadful and I would really try and dissuade anyone in the…read moreHereford / Chelteham area from using them. They completely mis-managed our project to the point of negligence, repeatedly attempted to over-charge us doing things like making changes on our drawings that we had not requested, etc. They ended up charging us over GBP60,000 in "Extras" without providing any documentation on what would be charged as part of the project and what would be charged as an extra item. The architect Mark Powles has still refused to provide us with any billing details on what these "Extras" are despite our repeated requests. This firm is an absolute disgrace and should be avoided at all cost.

I wouldn't have done it without Ralph!…read more In Aug '25, I asked Ralph to support me on a complete renovation and remodelling of my small harbour-front apartment in Lymington. We worked closely together to design a new internal layout which included relocating most of the walls, the staircase, changing the use of many rooms, new M&E, and much more....all with the intent of making the best of the extraordinary harbour views from its three balconies. At just 75 sqm floor area, we treated it like designing a new interior of a yacht because we needed to make the best use of every small space. Ralph's experience and skill shone through; he was thoughtful, proactive, communicative and creative. He introduced me to a building contractor and helped put together the entire project team. And finding a team is not easy these days! Ralph was hugely tenacious in successfully finding a specialist staircase design and manufacturing firm to create and install the centrepiece of our property. Let's be honest....all these projects cost more than we expected, take longer than we hoped and involve rather more stress than..... .....but I could not, and would not, have embarked on this project without Ralph at my side throughout. He had a calm, pragmatic and supportive influence. We had an ambitious challenge to complete the entire project within 6 months (Jan-Jun) to avoid missing the summer season. Ralph and the team helped deliver that and we now have a truly extraordinary coastal home that has met, if not exceeded, my expectations.
