The seats are comfortable and there really isn't a bad spot to sit in order to have a great view of the stage. Parking is all street parking, so it can be a challenge on a busy night to find a close spot. After the shows I've been to, the actors all line up to say hello and sign your program. Since you're sitting through dinner and a multi-hour show, I highly recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time for the booth seating over the tables with chairs. The booths were comfortable and plush. A variety of entrees are included with your fare, with the option to purchase upgrades to nicer entrees, enhancements such as sautéed onions and mushrooms, and other items such as appetizers and dessert. Soft drinks including tea and coffee are included in your fare, and other drinks are available for purchase. The appetizer platter was pretty disappointing -- it's advertised as enough for 3-4 people but it really is enough for 1-2. I think you're better off getting the bruschetta for an appetizer. The strawberry mule was a little too sweet for my taste. The entrees really load up the side vegetables so you won't be hungry after your meal! The famous chanhassen chicken was a little bit on the blander side but the portion was generous. The sirloin was definitely the star -- it was seasoned well and served medium rare. The tiramisu was a little more cream heavy than espresso -- I'd try a different dessert next time. The show itself was great -- the sets are well done and you can hear everything really well. They had a 20 minute intermission which was much needed to stretch your legs after sitting for a while. Before the show starts you order dessert and additional drinks that get served during intermission. During intermission you close out your tab as well. There's plenty of free parking available in the large lot and parking ramp, and I had no issues with waiting to get out after the show either.

I thought for sure it would be like backed up forever when we left, but it wasn't an issue at all. They know what they're doing and they do it well.

I was very active at Blue Water throughout middle and high school. It was a positive experience at…read morefirst, but then there was a change in leadership. The company started oozing money, the new artistic director only hired her artist friends that were unemployed, along with her boyfriend, who was a raging alcoholic. There were instances where contractors would yell at children and make them cry, and the staff that actually cared, along with other students, would be left to console them. Along with this, the artistic director was unable to manage the administration/office work aspect of her job, and began to complain and give many of her responsibilities to students who were eager to help. This was in no way, shape, or form the faults of the students. They were taken advantage of by an adult they trusted and cared about, who was tanking the business that they loved so deeply. This director ended up being fired due to her making political statements in the 2024 production of Les Miserables (it is a BWTC tradition to produce this show every four years). Because of this, there was a mass exodus of the staff/contractors, and the new AD brought in a pretty much new staff to the theatre. However, the theatre has not recovered financially, or in any other way. The building has some charm, but is falling apart due to how old it is. There have been some problems with ticket sales as well, especially for high school students. All of the kids are aware of this, and many of us would feel disappointed when we would go to perform a show, only for the audience to be 10 to 15 people. I did have some positive experiences at BWTC, and met some people I am still very close to today, but the negative impacts outweigh the positive. If you or your child are looking for theatre programming, try Stages, Children's, or another theatre in the area. They cost the same, but they actually have qualified contractors and staff who know about theatre.

And parking was free in the lot across the street. Upon leaving, I noticed that there is also a parking ramp 1 block over too. The event didn't attract a real big crowd, so it was quieter than expected. So getting our tickets at will-call was fast. Walking into the theater, I was pleased to see the auditorium space. Any seat is going to be a good seat, and we happened to have 2 row tickets. The only downfall was proximity to the speakers. The show happened to be a comedy show, but I had a hard time hearing fast talk because of the microphone reverb. I was missing punchlines and not laughing. It was just too loud for "talking" when the mic was at your mouth. Now, there was a singing quartet in the show, and that was much better since they were standing about 2 feet away from the mics. Next time, I'd pick a middle row. After the show, we hit the restroom. Plenty of stalls for the ladies. It was clean and well stocked.

Worst customer service EVER for a local small business! Slow, unhelpful staff. No one ever asks if…read morethey can assist you. We dropped a trumpet off for repair and were told it would take 1 week, it took 1 month and that was only after we checked in 4 times. At one point they could not even locate our instrument. On 2 occasions the guy at the front desk was on a personal phone call and made no attempt to end the call to assist us. 1 time the employee was out on the sidewalk talking with someone when we walked in and he did not come in to help us for 5 minutes. Terrible on each attempt.
