I have never really purchased anything for the teachers because of my financial situation and Kelley and Danielle have been nothing but very accommodating and understanding! Ms. Debbie's unconditional compassion, love, support, dedication, time, and effort shows through each class that passes through the studio, and most importantly through our recital weekend. With another recital weekend behind us, it is evident that Ms. Debbie goes above and beyond what is expected in order to make this show a success. Despite having to run around and delegate a thousand responsibilities, resolve issues, and make sure every child remains safe, she somehow stills finds time to help with the little things like moving a prop off stage or helping someone do their hair before performing. I can't imagine many owners doing the same if "all they care about is taking your money." One thing that continues to inspire me about Ms. Debbie is her strength. She is not one to easily pass off responsibilities because she wants to ensure that every aspect of recital weekend (and throughout the year) runs smoothly and as fair as possible. Taking on the challenge of this chaotic weekend and the months of preparation leading up to it is no easy task!! Lastly, Ms. Debbie is so well-loved; she graciously passes on her passion for dance to every student she encounters. I am always in awe by how many students come up to her on a daily basis saying that they miss her and love her. Some of these students she has never even had before! That is the loving energy that Ms. Debbie gives off; I don't know about you, but that is something that is not so easy to come across today. A simple "thank you" is never enough to show how much the teachers, staff, students, and Ms. Debbie have shaped me into the person I am today. Even more special than that, Ms. Debbie gave me a dance studio that I can call "home."

While other studios are driven by greed and how many gigantic trophies they can accumulate, Ms. Debbie has always put the dance education of her students first and foremost and does not settle for anything less than that from her staff. Her preschool D.R.E.A.M. program is the best. No one is better with the babies than Ms. Debbie!

She makes every class both challenging and fun. And Julie Finkel brings such warmth and joy to both dance, Pilates and Yoga, making each session something I truly look forward to. Well, the gym decided to restructure and Maryann moved on. So, I followed her. She's THAT GREAT. Zumba is a great workout: high intensity cardio that feels like a party. Sounds cliche, but it true. Zumba with Maryann takes it up a notch because Maryann herself is AMAZING. Such a fun personality, she allows you to relax and not take yourself too seriously. Because, if you take yourself too seriously, Zumba is NOT for you. You need to let loose, let the music move you and just enjoy yourself. I did, and so far I have lost 57 pounds. And counting. Try it for yourself. She teaches at various locations around Butler and Kinnelon. Check out her website www.zumbamaryann.com for more info. Come and join the party. You won't be sorry you did.

We started coming here when they opened in 2017 mostly because my wife wanted to. But it is impossible not to be won over by the place. The franchise owners Thomas and Fransiska, are champion dancers themselves and as mesmerizing to watch as anyone on DWtS. They are incredibly warm and welcoming and are constantly creating parties, showcases, and events to make it fun. We take most of our lessons with Klaudia who is amazingly energetic, knowledgeable, fun, and a perfect teacher who always knows just what to say to help us get better. She is a pure delight. Arthur Murray has a well-established structured curriculum with about a dozen levels (the highest being practically like a professional dancer) which requires specific steps and techniques to be mastered before graduating to the next level. It amazes me, but they can actually teach people to dance--not just the steps, but all the moves. We actually look like dancers now. The arrangement is more like belonging to a club. You pay for weekly individual lessons but are free to attend group lessons, which are offered 6 times a week. In addition, they host twice-weekly evening "practice parties" where they dim the lights and play 2-minute clips of all the different dances for everyone to dance their steps and just have fun. My wife can't get enough; she is at the studio 6 times a week. If you have any inclination to learn to dance, there will never be a better opportunity to do it than Arthur Murray Tenafly.
