Our experience with this studio was extremely disappointing. We were told that our 3 year old daughter was not ready to be in the "tiny tots" in her second class ever. In the first trial class we were told she had trouble staying in her area and taking instruction so we created a square area at home and practiced staying in it with youtube dance classes for a week. When it came time for the second class they allowed me to tune in via zoom so we could all be on the same page in determining whether she was ready to enroll or not. She stayed in her square almost the whole time with a couple hiccups that she quickly fixed and not unlike the other girls in the class who also stepped out briefly. She followed along in warm ups and participated often even if it took her a minute to process what was happening- remember 3 years old and second class! When it came time to practice the recital dance she was didn't participate much then it was concluded she wasn't ready period solely because of this. I was stunned! I felt like they weren't even willing to see if she'd improve and they didn't acknowledge at all the progress she had made in just a week. On top of this, one little girl who is already enrolled refused to go into the class and sat in the waiting room with the parents and another girl took the class via zoom and was sitting on her couch during warm-ups instead of participating. I am in no way chastising these little girls because that is exactly what they are- little girls! We are talking 3 and 4 year olds who are easily distracted, prone to being silly and sometimes moody. I felt like my daughter wasn't being extended the grace her age deserves and even being singled out when other children are being allowed to enroll and not participate yet mine is participating and told not to enroll. And let's be honest, anyone who has ever been to a recital and watches the toddler's performance know that it usually never goes exactly as practiced and is just something fun for them to do and possibly peak their interest for more serious dancing later on. Anyone who is willing to pay and has a child that shows interest and participates in most of the class should be welcomed with open arms. She had four months and multiple practices to learn and get better yet I walked away feeling like my child was being labeled as un-teachable. It's was extremely disappointing, and left me feeling sad and furious at the same time. Lucky to have found another studio the same day whose trial class will not be to judge my toddler's capabilities in order to enroll but purely to see if we like the studio.

There are two sisters that own the company and they are so sweet... In the dance business for over 30 years. This was my first year with them and I have two little beginner dancers. There are girls and boys (not many... but they are there) in the classes. Our classes ran from september till June. The school is reasonable and if you miss your scheduled lesson, you have the option to make it up on an alternate day as long as the same age group has a class - only problem is the different day may be doing a different routine. We just had our first dance recital. The costumes were priced reasonably and they were beautiful. The recital was at CSI and the venue was very nice for all. I really love all the instructors and the staff. I will be re-enrolling my girls here in the fall and highly reccomend this dance school to beginner dance families and experienced. They have extra classes in addition to tap and ballet and extra dance companies and clinics. Don't hesitate to enroll here!

I respect others opinion but I like to express mine when it comes to sending my daughter to Dance,…read moreDance, Dance... I understand some of the reasoning behind teachers not wanting parents to watch during classes: I am totally against allowing parents to watch the class each week. I believe parents watching the class is a real distraction for the children. After all it is a 'class' where the children are learning... you aren't allowed to sit and watch your children at primary/high school to ensure they are progressing and behaving. Most teachers like myself are happy to talk to parents after class if they have any queries about their child. I am VERY against parents watching! Whenever they come into the room, they watch so closely and carefully, and all the girls get distracted by them! I don't think that parents should be able to watch dance classes, and thankfully they don't at the dance school my daughter attends. Dancing is a SCHOOL. DO parents watch their children 24/7 at SCHOOL? I don't think so! Dancing should be just the same! * If you watch the classes every week, then by the time the concert has come, parents aren't surprised and entertained by the routines. * You can't tell how much your child has improved by watching every week, as compared to once-a-year concerts or comps. * It is scary when you have, say 15 parents watching you closely each week. It leaves no time for imagination in class, and it all has to be work, work, work otherwise the parents might get angry. * If a student just started and is not doing well since it's their first time, they don't want 15 parents staring at then. This will prevent the child/ren not to participate because all eyes are on her. Having parents stay in the dance class is easily distracted and tends to make other students nervous. I think this is part of the reason's parents are not allowed to watch. Having been in both situations, I would say it's better for the parents to not watch, because otherwise it makes it so much harder for the child As far as the staff. I love that they are straight to the point. Yes, it may come off to some parents as if they are being rude but trust me, they are not. They don't sugar coat anything. They care about what they are doing. I love that they are an actual dance school that teaches just as if they were in a classroom. The structure they provided allows the students to build character and believe in themselves. We are the biggest critics when we are looking at our children at dance. Enough to get upset because we feel they are not paying attention. This could live a big impact on your child/ren because now they don't know who is correct you the parent or the teacher who is certified to teach the class. Ms. Melluzzo

I reiterated to her that I was in the right place and we were looking forward to this class. She continued being abrasive and giving zero guidance about how to "sign up" in the future if necessary. It was clear she just didn't want us there. After gathering my things and picking up my sobbing daughter she made a comment about me having an attitude and I told her to f*ck off. Wish I could give her zero stars. I have no idea why anyone would subject their child to this place.

First off, the owner/teacher of this place is so discouraging. She always finds ways to hurt the dancers whether it is their fault or not. She always makes harsh comments and she says they are "corrections" when they are just words that discourage dancers. Next, the place is awful. It is so tight in there and the bathroom is DISGUSTING. She has time to hurt her dancers but not to clean the place. She also shows favoritism towards other people as well. It is obvious. There is no explanation needed. She is VERY UNORGANIZED AND SLOPPY. If you want your daughter to dance and have technique, don't even come here. She makes her dances slutty and disgusting as well as inappropriate. May I add on during the pandemic, my daughter was in the non-competitive team and Miss Theresa didn't wear a mask. She only wore one when somebody came and knocked on the door. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!

I'm just doing it for my parents" vs. "I want to look like I'm on Dancing with the Stars), a few sessions of just cleaning up the dance and also the opportunity to practice during their monthly party. Paz was so sweet and a great teacher. She explained things well and had fun ideas. The dance flowed very well and never felt too repetitive or too slow. For this session, they ask you a bunch of wedding-y questions like what you imagine your wedding to be like, what the reception area will look like, if there are any moves you'd want to incorporate, and how you want to feel during your first dance. Then they show you basic ballroom dance moves for the rumba, foxtrot (?) and I think one other one. It was nice because we knew what our first song would be so they were able to play it for us to practice to. It's also nice that it's per couple so you do get all the attention and feedback on what you're doing right/wrong. We didn't end up getting the 5 lesson package because they said the prices were only good for 24 hours and we weren't sure if we wanted to commit. Also at the point, there was probably only about 1.5 months until our wedding, so we thought it would be too rushed (but that's on us for thinking about lessons so late in the game). There are some group dance lessons, which we caught a glimpse of since we got there early, which look pretty fun! Maybe something I'd consider for after the wedding, just for something to do.
