Mary Anne and Alex are both great. So welcoming, friendly and Alex really does know his dance moves. We will not be able to delay the start of class for late arrivals. Any missed visits will go against your current class package. The instructor, myself, and several other students were there. I personally waited 5-10 minutes after the class started to wait for you as Sheila had a responsibility to begin class on time for the other attendees. After waiting, I then locked the doors to join class as I had intended to participate as a student. The doors must be locked for the safety and security of the clients, instructors, and the building. A grace cancellation credit has been added to your account as a one-time courtesy. All class packages are non-refundable, except in the case of illness or injury with documentation from your doctor. It was all about the money and competitions. Class always started late and since it was only a 30 min class the students only got about 20 mins of instruction for class. The costumes were ridiculously expensive and our instructor was rude. Towards the end of the dance season my daughter got very ill and they just kept calling wanting to know if she was going to compete and when I was going to pay for the month of classes she didn't attend due to being ill. I spoke with the owner about the possibility of my daughter taking dance lessons. I wasn't sure…read moreshe would be able to do this because her first priority is gymnastics and she trains about 12 hours a week. The owner was in the process of coordinating classes for the fall and asked if I would email her my daughter's gymnastics schedule and she would do her best to see if my daughter could participate in a class. I went home that day and sent the email with our schedule. I tried contacting the dance school the following week by phone and in person and was unable to reach anyone. When I received an email about the registration being open, I tentatively filled out the form. I was not comfortable registering for a class that I did not yet have a specific day or time. I told myself that having already spoken to the owner, that she would understand that we would not be taking classes if they couldn't fit into my daughter's schedule. I even attached another gymnastics schedule to the registration to make sure no scheduling conflicts occurred. I eventually received an email with my daughter's dance class schedule which was on the exact day and time she has gymnastics. I decided I was done with the business at this point. I thought I wouldn't have to think about this again, until I received a large bill months later for classes my daughter never attended and a registration fee. When I called and talked to someone about the bill, she said they would adjust the class fees but could not remove the registration fee because they took the time to put my daughter in a class. Yes, Jane's School of Dance, you placed my daughter in a class she could not take. I will pay your registration fee and now warn others of your classless business practices.
