I have danced with Dance Mob Nation more than 40 times over the last 5 years. We have danced at proposals, corporate events, music videos, weddings, and a variety of other events. I have always had a wonderful time and I have seen much joy on people's faces when we dance. There are many facets to each performance. We have had many wonderful choreographers, many pro dancers, and many people who just love to dance. A problem has been when a client does not like an aspect of a performance and then does not want to pay. It is really unfair when we have spent many hours rehearsing to a video and rehearsing with the group, then a client complains and there is not enough money to pay us if it is a paid gig. Many times we flash mobbers are just volunteering. We are driving all over LA and other places on our own dime for gas and time. Sometimes we have heard the person is on a budget and does not want to pay very much. You get what you pay for! The worst gig was when we were supposed to be paid a certain amount and the rich Beverly Hills Children's Camp people did not want to pay much since they said the music was not loud enough. Their rowdy kids jumped in, tripping us, were yelling, and some were even eating ice cream and spilling it on the ground as we danced. The client should preview the video and make suggestions if they want changes. Nothing is perfect, but we have put our hearts and souls into our dancing and overall we have had amazing responses. read more
