In June of 2026, we had an issue with an existing garage door system. Since it came with the house, we estimated it was probably original and we were having intermittent issues. Initially, they gave me a service day in about 7 days. They put me on a waiting list and came 3 or 4 days later. Exceptional service and very courteous. They got the system working but because we had little confidence in it working long term, we asked them to replace it. We were given options/pricing for new units. They came back in just a few days. The installer was EXCEPTIONAL and so courteous! I have to say this business is extremely well run, knowledgeable and very responsive. It's a pleasure to have found them and I highly recommend them! read more

They were very responsive to our needs. I called & they responded quickly setting up an appointment. The texted me with updates on when their technician would arrive. The workers were very professional and replaced the necessary parts quickly. They did an excellent job and I would gladly recommend their services. read more

The garage doors we had were probably the original ones from the 70s with no insulation and a rotting frame. We had other projects we needed to do to the house before, but when the motor fully broke we had to get them done while staying within budget. They were SO helpful in explaining our options that would work for our budget AND not sacrifice function. It was a long complicated job given the terrible shape the doors were in when we bought the house, but the new doors are amazing. I've had them about a month and everything works well. I could not be happier. They honestly worked so hard given it was a small, budget conscious job on our end and they helped fix up some of the frame issues and insane gaps. The same company also did my Dad's garage a few decades ago so they've got years of family knowledge that really shows. Wonderful people to work with! read more

A pleasure to deal with. Arrived when they said they would, upon completion the work area was spotless, final price matched quote. Door goes up door goes down what more can you ask for. read more

I couldn't be happier with my new garage doors, and with the wonderful customer service from Danbury Overhead Door. I wasn't sure what style I wanted, and went back and forth with them on several designs. They provided several schematics which greatly helped in making a decision. The doors are amazing, and totally transform the look of the house. Andrew is a pleasure to work with, not only is he incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, he's a genuinely nice guy. read more

I had called Danbury overhead doors on Friday to ask for an estimate. They had given me and I had accepted it . The receptionist had told me they could come the next day and I changed my whole schedule around in order to be able to be present for them. She had confirmed the appointment and told me she would call me with a time. On Saturday morning , the next day, I hadn't heard from them by 10am so I called to confirm time. Whoever answered , confirmed I was on the schedule but was put on the wrong list and was going to call the tech and have him try to see me before his next appt instead of waiting until the afternoon. I sensed she had made a mistake and was trying to correct it when she hesitated to confirm that someone would call me back with a time for today. She did return my call but I was advised the tech had put another client on his schedule and therefore couldn't come to fix our doors today. Obviously I was upset and tried to point out that it was their mistake and I should not be penalized for it. As a customer providing company, it was their responsibility to first find a way to service me as they had promised , and then prevent this mistake from occurring in the future. Apparently they are not high on customer service quality because they didn't . She didn't even try to find a way to have me serviced at a later time today and just shrugged off the appt and told me I couldn't be helped . Of course I am angered at this as it is apparent, but the fact that nothing was done or attempted to service me as they had promised, pisses me off more. I hope anyone is reading this review takes this into account and not use them because they are not trust worthy and their customer service sucks!!! read more

My garage issue started earlier this year. My friend attempted to fix my garage door without any luck . I received one quote of $800 + from a company which I declined . In march I found a garage company that worked on my garage door but it still had a huge gap on the bottom side which let all the air into my garage . Thank god I found this company. They recently fixed my garage door which removed the gap and all the issues for $145. I should've called them first . It would've saved me hundreds. Andrew Potter fixed my garage . read more

Danbury Overhead door is great. They have replaced my garage door, my fathers, my aunts and my mothers garage door which they did a excellent job and the doors look and work amazing. They even advised me to use my old garage door opener till it died, which i got another 2 years out of it. I called them for a new opener when the old one died and got an amazing lift master belt driven with the internet gateway for a great price. They ordered and installed it fast and I have never been happier. I recommend them to anyone I know/see with a old door and/or opener. read more

David told me what all the charges would be up front. And when I asked if he could handle my second door while he was here, he didn't even flinch even though I might have been putting him behind schedule. I try not to getin the way when people are working, but my curiosity got the best of me and all my questions were answered politely even though he was working. When I eventually neeed to replace my garage doors instead of repairing them, I already have the phone number. read more

The installers at Danbury Overhead Door are about as good as it gets. I recently had Danbury and another local company come to give me quotes, the other company looked at the job, said they couldn't do it, and told me that Danbury Overhead could and that I should go with them. read more

Great service and extremely professional. Gave me options on how to fix with exact costs. Very impressed!

Noticed in the morning that my spring had broken and I was unable to get out of the garage. Danbury Overhead Door showed up within 45 minutes of my phone call and 15 minutes later, I was off to work. Great experience. read more

Very disappointed with this company. I was supposed to have an estimate done on a garage door and they never showed up the first time. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled another appointment. The secretary had the wrong time even when I specifically called back to tell her the time someone would be there. They showed up at wrong time and no one was home. I will not recommend this company to anyone!! read more

Danbury Overhead Door installed my door and has serviced me before. Recently one of my springs broke which is pretty standard. They knew what kind of door I had. They knew where I lived. They knew what work I needed done. They quoted me $150. They came that day as promised and fixed it quickly. So I am happy with their service. However the bill was $200. I had called another company and they quoted me $200 but I went with Overhead door since they quoted me $150. I think the work was good but I think they should have quoted me accurately since they had all of the information. read more

Danbury Overhead Door did an awesome job replacing our garage door. They were reasonable with the estimate, presented us with nice options and called to install as soon as the door was built and received from Clopay (door manufacturer). I would highly recommend them. read more

I recently had a very good experience with Danbury Overhead Door. They were happy to schedule the service on the day and time of day I had requested, and actually showed up on time. Late last year, I called Danbury Overhead and actually got Jean on the phone (the boss). I explained that they had installed my original garage door and that someone had now crashed into it and needed repair. Jean made an appointment and came to my home about a week later. She reviewed the job and provided a quote via email. the quote was fine, I approved it. I was told that the door would take a couple of weeks to arrive and I would be notified. Well, it was pure hell thereafter. Weeks, and a month go by. No Jean. I phone several times to inquire what was happening with my order. Not only is their receptionist very unprofessional, but I was completely ignored by Jean. I called several times to try to understand why I was not receiving a return call from their office. After two months of waiting, I called one day and indicated to their receptionist that if I did not receive a call from Jean that day, to simply cancel my order. Well, no phone call that day or any day afterward!! Can you believe that a company could treat people like this? So, I called Ridgefield Overhead Doors and my garage problems were taken care of in two weeks. Incredible service from them. DON'T CALL DANBURY - THEY ARE TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! read more
