Decided to get my boyfriend's car washed for him while I was borrowing it - it was disgusting. Came to Dana Point Car Wash on a Tuesday morning. They were pretty busy so I took that as a good sign. There was a little confusion at first because I wanted to pay the little extra for the hand wash and detailing but apparently I was in the drive-thru car wash line. Once the confusion was sorted out, I was told it would take about an hour to get a custom hand wash and detail on the car. I walked around, running errands while I waited. When I came back, the owner informed me that they could do the detailing on the inside because my boyfriend's car was "too dirty." Not sure if this was the truth or not, but he seemed genuine. Anyways, I left with just a vacuum and hand wash, since the car wasn't capable of having any of the detailing done. Paid $18.99 plus tip when all was said and done. Bad car wash... do not go here. They take a very long time to clean your car and do a terrible job. I waited nearly 2 hours for a simple car wash. This place is an absolute joke! The guy running it has no personality and is absolute miserable human being. I tried to give this place a shot multiple times cause it only takes 5 minutes but I will NEVER EVER go back! Just flat out awful customer service and awful car wash. Also the last time I went there he said I didnt tip previously so he couldnt give me the full service wash. Literally drove across the street to chase bank and pulled out a tip for them. Appalling and classless. Two days ago I had my truck hand washed here for the first time and while cleaning out the inside this morning I noticed my antenna had been broken off and intentionally hidden on the inside of my passenger door. (Its a short-stubby aftermarket antenna which is why I hadn't noticed it initially) Im very understanding that accidents happen but I was bothered that they thought they could hide it rather than coming clean and owning up to their mistake. This morning I approached the owner (older asian guy) and told him what had happened and he proceeded to tell me I'm a liar and stated repeatedly that since it was hand washed its not possible that his employees could have broken it. Mind you, they were the last people to touch my truck and if it had been broken elsewhere there is no way it would have been hidden inside of my truck. All I was looking for was an apology and some accountability and the owner was incredibly arrogant, in denial, and disrespectful. I visited this car wash yesterday at around 3:00 PM and, as always, the team outside did an outstanding job. My car looked spotless, and I really appreciate how friendly and hardworking the staff are--especially those drying and detailing the vehicles. Their positive attitude always stands out and keeps me coming back. However, I was disappointed with the interaction--or lack thereof--with the cashier at that time. She didn't greet me or say a single word throughout the entire transaction. Even when I thanked her after she handed me my keys, she said nothing in return. A simple acknowledgment or smile would have made the experience more pleasant and in line with the great service the rest of the staff consistently provide. I hope this feedback is helpful for management. The exterior team continues to shine, and I'd love to see that same level of professionalism and courtesy reflected at the register as well. read more

How is this establishment still open? They charge me $50 for a hand wash and I looked at the truck and I could've done a better job in five minutes. They didn't even vacuum my truck correctly. They didn't wash my car correctly nor bother to take out any stains. They didn't wipe down the dashboard, nor the cupholders, they didn't wipe down my Rams touchscreen nor did they clean inside of the doors. I don't complain, but this place needs to be exposed. Now, if they would've charged me $15 for whatever they did to my truck, I would've been OK but when you're charging an arm for services, you don't even complete you need to rethink your customer service values and work ethics. Been to this place multiple times and every time it disappoints, I've finally given up. I got there an hour and a half before closing and they wouldn't give me the option of vacuuming the inside of my car. A little frustrating but whatever. Then I paid for a $18.99 car wash, drive through it, pull around, and the old man (I think that's the owner) says "that's it, you're done". Still had water all over my car with spots. I could have gone through a $7.99 car wash at shell gas station and gotten a better job. This place is absolute trash, I've tried them 5 times to give them chances because I'm local, and they fail miserably EVERY TIME. I will not recommend them to whoever I can to ensure no one in the area has to have the miserable experiences I have had. I've only heard negative feedback about this place, I regret giving them so many chances. This place is so confident but needs new ownerships or management to put the customer first. Even though I made a mistake and didn't realize that only option #5 came with vacuum inside, when I realized that my car was not going to be cleaned in the inside because I paid for #4, the owner who is from Asian descent, which I have absolutely no problem with, yelled at me telling me that I purchased the option with no vacuum and was very condescending towards me making me feel like an idiot that I didn't read the sign correctly and picked the wrong option. There were just 2 cars being hand-washed there and he told me it was going to be a 2-hour wait to vacuum my car inside which I believe was a total lie, he just wanted me to F*** off. The older guy who works here charges randomly and at his discretion despite the fact that I've been there enough to have earned free car washes. I have had the worst experience here. The gentleman who operates this car wash is rude and demanded a tip before my car was done with service. He repeatedly asked me if I had cash to tip the worker (as if I was not planning to tip?). I informed him that I would go next door to the gas station and get cash. After I said this, he proceeded to stick his hand through my car window and reach for my credit card to charge me for tip money. The gentleman shook his head and walked away after I clearly said that I would go next door. While waiting for my car, the owner started shouting at his employees, making it highly uncomfortable for everyone there. Raising a lot of eyebrows. After this awful experience, I would much prefer to support any other local car wash that appreciates their customer's business and treats their employees with respect! Literally, it looked like it wasn't even washed because they did such a terrible job. Dude that runs the place is a major asshole. Been here a few times and there always nickle and diming you with extra charges. If you car has dog hair, sand , the bed of your truck has some dirt in it expect to be charged extra. The owner is an Asian man who had the audacity to tell me how much I should tip before my car was even completed. Then I saw that one side had water stains all over it, and the inside wasn't cleaned at all - no wiping of the seats or the dashboard, anything. He told me it was impossible to get the water stains out because they were from a sprinkler, but if I paid him $600 ($599) he could see if he could detail it out. I wanted to detail his nose with my palm because he is such an obnoxious, smug clown. I paid for the wash but gave no tip. I went to the dealership where they normally give free car washes to preferred customers in the program, but due to covid they ceased it. Terrible terrible customer service. The young kids working here are very nice but the owner is so aggressive and rude. I came for a car wash this morning. In & out in 8 minutes and still fingerprints, sand and other debris in cup holders and all over carpet. This is a picture of the hood of car AFTER the wash. Never been created with a smile here. Not friendly. Always ask if you want to put a tip on the card. I asked for 3 ones to tip. The owner looked at me weird and said people usually tip at least $5. I told him tip isn't mandatory and I tip off of performance if deserved. Asked him for five 1's he brought me a five. Maybe they should pay the workers more?? I accidentally kept my car in drive instead of putting it in neutral. Went through car wash without getting a good wash. I have all weather mats that had some sand in them. The owner wanted to charge me an extra $10 on top of the $25 for the ultra wash. They would've done nothing different than they usually do. They usually take out the All weather mats shake them. Spray them down and vacuum under them but because there was sand on top of mats he wanted to charge me $10 extra.
