All the dentists they've seen don't understand the reasoning behind this decision! All of my children have had extra expenses because of this! I absolutely do not recommend this office. In the end it has costed all my grown children lots of extra money because of the permanent retainers!

I want to note that up until this point, my experience with the office had been good. The staff was professional during my treatment, and I left satisfied when my braces came off. Unfortunately, everything since then has completely changed my opinion. I immediately contacted both MetLife and the orthodontist's office, and since then, I've been going through hoops trying to get an explanation. What bothers me most is that this balance is only being brought to my attention a year and a half later, long after my treatment ended and my account was paid in full on my end. This delay feels extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, in August 2025, I received another letter from their office that included another patient's personal information along with mine. This is a major privacy concern and shows a complete lack of care in handling patient records. Now, I'm left trying to figure out how to cover a balance that I was never made aware of during or shortly after treatment, while also questioning how securely my own information has been managed. Regardless of where the miscommunication lies, the way this was handled reflects poorly on the office's professionalism, transparency, and respect for patient privacy.

They've added a new orthodontist (I apologize for forgetting her name) who is also excellent. The whole team at Haltom Orthodontics is dedicated and professional. I especially want to mention Lisa, who made nighttime retainers for me--excellent and wonderful to work with. And Yvonne, who made permanent retainers for me--superbly skilled and great to work with. Haltom Orthodontics is the best provider of professional services I have experienced.

I had some mild…read morecorrective work to be done on a full set of teeth, including wisdom: Closing top gap between central incisors (8,9), lateral incisor movement forward (26), and some cuspid rotations to name a few. I ended up here because I wanted a second opinion. The first place I went to suggested to me that only braces would do the trick for alignment and to correct mild mandibular retrognathia, the consideration of mandibular osteotomy and distraction osteogenesis. It was thorough I'll give them that, but I wanted Invisalign. My alignment issues were cosmetic at least or only negligibly deficit in function at worst so all of that seemed excessive. So I decided to part ways with that establishment and seek a course of treatment elsewhere. I do not remember how I came across Haltom Orthodontics, but it was definitely a worthwhile discovery. The evaluation was thorough and the communication was an open dialog between patient and doctor. I discussed my expectations and desired treatment and listened to how that could fit in my plan of care. They accepted my insurance, Delta Dental, and I paid the rest using in-house financing; it was a simple process. I was able to pay for the entire treatment over the course of a year. So, long story short I was able to get an all Invisalign treatment plan, correct my alignment deficits & functionality, minimize the mild retrognathia and keep my fully functional wisdom teeth. Post-plan corrections and tweaks are part of the deal to hone in the finishing touches and I opted to keep final retainers as aligners, and not a permanent fixture, also a conversation of options. I love dialog! From the front desk to assistants and molders to Dr. Darren Haltom himself, the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. They even have a reward program called the Haltom Smile Club for consistent appointments and early arrivals that delivers gift cards through accrued points in amounts of $10-$100: iTunes, Starbucks, Regal, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, WalMart, Abercrombie, Aeropostale & more. Adults & kids alike will find this a great place for all orthodontic needs!

Thank you both for your professionalism and for taking care of me. I had Invisalign and braces. Highly recommend coming here if you want to truly be taken care of! The staff are also great and helped me when I was going through some mental health challenges. This place cares. Thank you again!

My only regret is that I didn't visit Harnick sooner. I didn't get braces as a kid for all sorts of…read morereasons (mainly the fear of "brace face" and also getting my wisdom teeth pulled freaked me out really bad). Back in the day I wasn't a candidate for Invisalign (so I was told). For a long time I didn't think my teeth were that bad so didn't really think much about it. Now I'm older and wiser (occasionally) and thought I'd do a consult with my dentist and was referred to Harnick. After seeing what the possibility was and a pretty good prediction how my teeth would look when finished, there was no turning back. It was going to happen. Everything was very easy with Harnick from start to finish. The tools and technology they use makes the whole process so much easier too with results that you can see. One of the most motivating aspects for me was being able to see the progression I was making both in real life as well as through the digital renderings. At the end of everything, I didn't realize how bad my teeth actually were originally and how unaware I was of how self conscious I was of them. I had just gotten used to not smiling normally and I didn't even realize it until friends started commenting on it. Bottom line: if you follow the instructions they give you- you WILL be happy with the results. Trust the process. Yes, there will be parts that may not be fun (rubber bands suuuuuck). But, the trick is, if you actually do what they tell you you can be free of the inconvenience quicker. I promise, it's worth it. Both Doctor Harnicks were amazing. Dr. Kari was my primary and absolutely meticulous and made sure everything was perfect. The results are so much better than I could have expected and even though there's lots of visits, they were extremely efficient, on time, and had you in and out so you could be on your way. It sounds a little cheesy but this was one of the best decisions I've ever made and really was life changing in that I am no longer self conscious of my smile. I had no idea how much it was effecting my confidence until this. I would highly recommend Harnick to anyone looking for orthodontics.

I don't know anyone who would elect choose to undergo orthodontic treatment just for the fun of it…read more However, for quite a few individuals seeing an orthodontist is medically necessary. If you need the treatment, finding a good orthodontist is so very important. As an adult seeking treatment for the third time, I would know just how much damage a bad orthodontist can cause. If I could go back in time and reverse any decision, it would be to never step foot in a certain orthodontist's office. I want to make sure the third time is the charm and I am so grateful for Dr. McDonald's expertise. Seriously, seeking treatment with his has been a lot of work but that is because he wants to get to the root cause of why someone like me has had to keep coming back. In my case it has been trying to solve some breathing issues that are linked to some cosmetic issues I have experienced. He has been so helpful and I love how excited he is to do his job. You can tell he really wants to help and doing so brings him real happiness. What more can you ask for in a medical professional? I have only had bottom brackets and a palate expander in for a few months. The palate expander has been torture but according to Dr. McDonald it is working so we shall see. Forward thinking to when this monstrosity is removed and my mouth is liberated.

They were able to get me in quickly but did not to a thorough job because about 3 weeks later the glue chipped off. I called to let them know, they said we will fix it for your one more time. Second time going there the staff had an attitude in addition did not do a very good job, they didn't even take off the existing glue that was chipping off and put a very thin of glue without any prep work, no primer or even air. So of course it chips off again. I called to ask for a refund and was told no because they don't do permanent retainers... then why offer to fix it in the first place?! But also what an easy way to collect 74 bucks and do a shitty job so it will need to be fixed again in the near future. Very disappointed with the actual service and the customer service. Red flag when an orthodontist can't guarantee their work. Ultimately, I had it fixed at a different orthodontics office that did a phenomenal job. The actual orthodontist was the one that did the repair and was very thorough. Used primer, extra glue, held the retainer in place while the glue hardened with the light, was charged half the price, and they told me if I have any problems to return. I do not recommend Northview orthodontics.
