Came here after being recommended by a supermarket worker. I had received absolutely atrocious…read moreservice and prices ridiculously marked up at a mobility chain store, so was fully prepared for this to be a trial. Instead, this was a true delight. The staff were incredibly friendly with no ulterior motive - they actually cared about finding the best support for me without any pressure. I began to actually look forward to our communication and have rolled away with a fantastic new wheelchair without being given the hard sell. I have visited many mobility suppliers and always came away feeling slightly exploited as a vulnerable disabled person, but here was not like this at all. I was treated with respect and dignity from start to finish and am extremely pleased with the service. When I first needed a repair on my old wheelchair it was done within a couple of days, and when it broke completely (and dangerously) the staff were sympathetic and informative about what had gone wrong. While in there I spotted the new wheelchair and was given information about it without being pressured or steered towards it (the pun was unavoidable!). My new wheelchair has great battery life and is sturdy and lightweight, and in the unlikely event that something goes wrong with this chair I know that Brian and his team will be more than happy to help. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough, I will be directing friends from across the north and midlands here!

They eventually phoned me ( 9 months after my letters), to report that the defendants had rejected my claim and that they were not able to pursue it further. Salford Royal is a large, modern hospital, around five miles from Manchester city centre, if…read moreheading here from the city centre, you can hop on the 34/67/100 buses, and it takes around 20 minutes or so, which would be your best bet, as parking is a nightmare. One of the largest hospitals in the area, but may feel under-appreciated or underused with the Manchester Royal Infirmary only a short drive away, which is the largest hospital in the country by the number of beds. The hospital was redeveloped in the early 2010s which was much needed, and the refreshed look still feels modern to this day, it is fairly easy to get around the hospital and find where you need to go, the environment is clean, and the staff are friendly, with overly good standards. I did find a huge contrast between certain areas and wings of the hospital, even down to the modern features and comfort of the chairs, but it is the NHS... you can't expect too much. It's surprisingly easy to get through to someone at the hospital's switchboard, and I was passed to my consultant's secretary and appointment line in a matter of minutes, which is how it should be, while other hospitals can be much more inconsistent. Mobile Signal in the hospital is weak, likely down to equipment interfering with the connection. 4*
